Maybe she could get a book deal and give the royalties to the police to defray the cost of searching for her.

The Oprah will see to that.

Looks like she found another statue to . . . er . . . worship.

"At this time she hasn't been charged with anything." Probably because she didn't do anything that was illegal.

"At this time she hasn't been charged with anything." I wonder if they've looked to see if 720 ILCS5/11-7 (Criminial Code of 1961) might apply. Looks like it is a 'Class A' misdemeanor.

"During a second Hindu wedding on May 6 in New Jersey, the Ganesh statue played a role in the ceremony, Dignesh Solanki has said." Hmmm... appears the broken statue had a more sinister meaning.

If this woman is not a citizen, she needs to be deported forthwith. Her hanky pranky cost the hard-pressed citizens of Cook County a quarter million dollars—boat deployments, divers, helicopters, search dogs, the fire department, detective time etc. etc. Her brother, on local TV in Chicago this evening, had not the grace to apologize to the community for the uproar his sister’s caper caused—”We’re just happy she’s well,” he said, in a hideous and unattractive foreign accent. Come to think of it, deport him too, the ungrateful jerk.

The statue of the deity Ganesh, revered as the Hindu god of good fortune and wisdom, had broken and a religious leader told them that placing it in the water would ward off bad luck. Lucky for her, he's not a Muslim or the next step would be an honor killing.

I actually know the couple. This woman is quite strange and the husband is well someone you wouldn’t be surprised to be on TV saying “He always seemed like a quiet guy....”
