" Thompson is “missing” the passion & enthusiasm to be POTUS."
Why is that such a important requirement to be POTUS ?
I rather have Fred have the passion and enthusiasm to actually care about whats wrong with our country, have the passion to look out for our country's security, national defense, ect, ect.

If you read it all then you knew the answer to your question when you asked it.

Fred is a good and decent conservative who does not need to be President but is seeking the office because he wants help shape the nation and the world in a positive way for his children and for the rest of us.

Have we really reached the point where we will discount and ridicule a man with noble aspirations to serve while valuing and supporting those who seek to gain power for more selfish reasons? I hate to think we have become so cynical and perverse in our values.

Why are you putting emphasis on the word interested? Fred didn’t do that. In any event you are misunderstanding him. He isn’t literally saying he does not want to run. This is the same misconstrued idea he is somehow lazy.

Hello,

Yes, you have been taken in by the DBM. How does that feel? I would guess it feels like you have not learned how to think for yourself.

BTW, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz................

Please help me to call on all Freepers for Fred to pray for him.

Prayer is a good thing, but let us not forget that the Lord helps those who help themselves.

Fellow Iowans, stand up for Fred at the Caucus!

Fred is never late; nor is he early - he arrives precisely when he means to!

LOL! I had to stop a minute and ask myself what movie was Fred in where he dressed up like that. : )

I’ve observed you in action at FR long enough to know you really love to stir up stuff. Enjoy yourself, I see you have been quite successful today.

I was originally attracted to Fred’s candidacy strictly because I thought it would be a GOOD thing if the winner was the one who entered the race at the last minute. These campaigns have become entirely too long, and it would be good if future candidates started thinking that running a two or three year long campaign is a BAD thing.

Having said that, I’m really liking what he has to say, even when it gets twisted up and causes fights among the conservative base.

And if isn’t all that interested in being POTUS, I still want to HEAR FROM HIM, “Why the hell are you running?”

I think you are being intentionally obtuse. Or maybe you're just not very bright.

"I’m only consumed by very, very few things. Politics is not one of them. The welfare of our country and our kids and grandkids is one of them.“ Fred Dalton Thompson

If you don't like him, don't vote for him. I've got six going to caucus with me in Iowa next week to vote for him. We'll see who has passion & enthusiasm after Jan. 3rd.

“Or maybe you’re just not very bright?”

Typical of those on FR who can’t debate,
you post personal insults.

Well, I am smart enough to ignore you.
LMAO
