Florida Real Estate Agent Dean Isenberg Allegedly Posts Phony Sex Ads on Internet

MIAMI, FL (Crime Library) — Police have arrested a Miami-Dade real estate agent for posting fake escort ads to an Internet classified website that included the personal contact information of a rival agent.

According to police, the incidents began last summer, when 44-year-old Debbie Blasberg, a local real estate agent and married mother of two, reported that she was receiving hundreds of unsolicited phone calls and text messages from strangers inquiring about sex. One of the callers had confessed that he found her number in an escort ad at Craigslist.org, an online classifieds website that hosts ads from 450 cities worldwide.

"Are you looking for a little afternoon delight? Stop by me and you'll leave with a smile," the headline read. It also included service fees, Debbie's personal cell phone number, and stated she was operating "in or around Miami downtown."

Debbie hired attorney Leah Mayersohn and private detective Robert Crispin to investigate the origin of the ads. Crispin discovered the ads were placed from a phony Yahoo account that had been created in Debbie's name. Mayersohn then contacted Craigslist and had the ads removed from the site, but in each instance they would reappear days later.

Suspicion soon fell on fellow realtor Dean Isenberg, 42. According to Debbie, Isenberg was upset with her because she had closed a deal on a property he was trying to sell, causing him to lose the sale and commission.

Investigators soon learned that 26 of the ads resolved back to Isenberg's personal computers. Using this information, police raided Isenberg's home and seized four computer towers, two laptops and three BlackBerrys.

When forensic investigators searched Isenberg's computer hard drives, they allegedly found evidence connecting him to the ads, along with several photos of scantily clad women, which he purportedly used in the ads.

Isenberg was arrested last week and charged with four counts of using personal information to harass and one other count related to using a computer in committing a crime. He was later released from the Miami-Dade County Jail after posting a $10,000 bond.

"I believe in the end that a resolution will be reached that will satisfy all sides in this matter," Isenberg's defense attorney, Andrew Rier, told The Miami Herald. "I believe that the charges as they stand now will be significantly reduced. I'm looking forward to a speedy resolution on this matter."

Speaking with the same newspaper, Debbie described Isenberg's arrest as bittersweet.

"I'm happy there is some justice but it's not the justice I'd like to see," she said.

Expecting ethics from a South Florida realtor is like expecting religious tolerance from Al Qaeda.

He looks like the kind who might have a variety of restraints, at home in the "special" room...

I would say former salesman, don't think Florida will let him keep that license long.

This guy is knee deep in it. I feel bad for the woman though I must admit I got a few chuckles out of how he tried to besmirch her reputation

Come on man, this is South Florida.
Unless there are photos of him with a little boy and a chicken nothing will happen to him after he pays the hag off.
In some communities down here the photos would probably enhance his rep.

Yep, I have a friend with Grave's. Hyperthyroid, eyes kinda bulging, all sorts of complications. It's not a pleasant thing to have.

I’m very sorry to inform you...my brother not only DOES not have and physical disorder as you are implying, but he is in a damn mug shot, I am not excusing what he did, me and my 3 brothers were not raised that way, after just finding out last night through my daughter’s research on Dean, the reason for that is still unknown to me, he’s still my baby brother, and I’m sure he is payin out the butt for this. My heart goes out to Debbie, I wish she knew that, but please know that Miami is a backstabbing place to live (I’m glad I’m not there any longer) Sincerely, Debby Thomas (Deans sister)

Give your brother a message for me:

Not only is he a sleazebucket, but I hope he gets the book thrown at him in Criminal Court and then gets his ass sued off in Civil Court.

Thanks,

L

I hope he gets roasted. I had one of my properties listed with a TRADE Property site and got tons of offer from folks wanting to move out of FL to NC but what suprised me was the amount of agents/developers that wanted to make deals.

Lots of shady deals there and I dont want any part of it!
