Its tempting to rerun my column on Pakistan from a month ago. Not because I predicted the assassination of Benazir Bhutto or offered any other great insight, but rather for the opposite reason: Everyones an expert on Pakistan, a faraway country of which we know everything: General Musharraf should do this, he shouldnt have done that, the State Department should lean on him to do the other
Well, I dunno. It seems to me a certain humility is appropriate when offering advice to Islamabad.
Oh, well. In the stampede of instant experts unveiling their Pakistani solutions-in-a-box, some contributions are worthy of special attention. Governor Bill Richardson of New Mexico, who is apparently running for the Democratic presidential nomination, was in no doubt about what needs to happen in the next, oh, 48 hours:
President Bush should press Musharraf to step aside, and a broad-based coalition government, consisting of all the democratic parties, should be formed immediately... It is in the interests of the U.S. that there be a democratic Pakistan that relentlessly hunts down terrorists.
Wow. Who knew it was that easy?

Whew, I thought we were going to have a discussion of Slick Willies female conquests.
Its just about Richardson who probably has to beg for the best 5 minutes. LOL

Chalk it up to another f’up in picking leaders for other countries. Why are we so unprepared for such a happening - this event should have been thought out earlier, not now.

Richardson’s just a hildabeast minion, gather as many voters as possible in the Hispanic community, then hand them over as he drops out....as a result of his loyalty he’s given a cabinet post.

Bill Richardson. What an inspiration to the mentally challenged everywhere.
Look at how far he’s gotten with his 55 IQ score.
If he can do it, anyone can.

Notice how it is always Democrats who demand that the U.S. tell other countries how to run their business? And step in and run it for them, if they won't do it the way they're told?
Aren't these the same people who are, oh, so concerned about whether other countries like us? Who are oh, so dead set against "interventionism"?
Liberalism is a mental disease.

I think he should drop out of the race right now and implement his "plan" now, maybe he and Pelosi can have a sit down with the jihadist and sorta work it out.

Richardson has already been given the job as Hillary’s Secretary of State.
She is looking for a woman to be Secretary of Defense, just to rub it in those damn military people’s face. Claudia Kennedy is rumored to be her top pick.

“Claudia Kennedy is rumored to be her top pick”
My blood ran cold until I saw the sarc tag. I fear that would not be out of the realm of possibility. If Claudia Kennedy were to gain such a position, that would surely be the end of the most powerful military the world has ever seen.

POLITICOThe lieutenant governor of New Mexico, Diane Denish was quoted in the Albuquerque Journal saying she avoids standing or sitting near Richardson because of his physical manner, which she said was not improper but was "annoying." The governor, she said, "pinches my neck. He touches my hip, my thigh, sort of the side of my leg."

I think I have a dufus Labrador with that much IQ.
He sure does seem to be trying to drag the Hispanic vote to the gates, doesn’t he?
They aren’t supposed to be voting anyway if they are illegals.

“If Claudia Kennedy were to gain such a position, that would surely be the end of the most powerful military the world has ever seen.”
Perhaps, but it would be a military of kindness, compassion, and consideration of others.
Biggest danger is to other Cabinet Secretaries, whom she would probably be accusing of fondling her at Cabinet meetings and demanding investigations.

He essentially overshadowed himself as Monica’s Pimp when he became “The Los Alamos Sieve”.
What a amazing record. Who say he was do-nothing. China knows differently.

I have the link to the Albuquerque newspaper story about his touchy, feely habits, and had it not already come out, I would have made sure the media got their hands on the article. Thankfully, someone else from NM made sure it got to the press. THAT one thing alone, would sink any Presidential dreams hizzzhonor has.

He won't get it. Kerry was looking at him in 2004 but his little sexual hangups with his Lt. Gov. kept him from it. God only knows what else is hanging round his closet.

Nah, he doesn't need anyone to do that; he's good at doing that himself. I saw a poll on Fox this morning. Clinton, Obama, Edwards are all in the high 20's percentage. Richardson is down at 5% just ahead of Biden. I imagine he'll drop out after New Hampshire and we have him here in NM for another three years raising taxes, starting new "entitlement" programs, issuing new rules on oil and gas industry, etc. And we were doing so well here until he got into power.
To: ridesthemiles
