Thompson: 'Not particularly interested in running'

I truly believe a part of this guy doesn’t care if he wins or not, or possibly even hopes to lose, in a small way.

This statement that he's not interested in running for president doesn't help Thompson. He should have said that he doesn't enjoy running for president or something similar.

Any rational person will question why he's running for such an important job if he sounds like he isn't serious about landing the job.

He has to sound like he is very interested in running or he has no chance.

"But if people really want in their president a super type-A personality, someone who has gotten up every morning and gone to bed every night thinking about for years how they could achieve presidency of the United States, someone who could look you straight in the eye and say they enjoy every minute of campaigning -- I ain't that guy."

Thompson is just being honest that he is not power mad.

He wants to campaign the way it was done originally, lay out your positions on the issues and let the people decide-which is how it should be.
