RUDY'S GOT NO HEARTLAND; BOTTOM OF PACK IN HAWKEYE STATE (RINO flops in conservative country)
NY POST ^ | December 31, 2007 | CARL CAMPANILE and GEOFF EARLE

Posted on 12/31/2007 3:16:44 AM PST by Liz

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa - Giuliani's support here has plummeted into single digits....according to new surveys released yesterday. A Reuters poll shows the ex-mayor capturing just 8% of the vote - tied for fourth place with Thompson and Ron Paul. An MSNBC poll shows Giuliani tied with Paul for fifth place with a measly 5% of the vote - near the bottom of the pack. "Where has he been? He stopped showing up," said conservative activist Jamie Johnson, who runs a radio station. Giuliani did not air a single TV ad in Iowa, and his 15 trips here were far fewer than front-runners Romney and Huckabee.

Rudy has never concentrated on Florida, so being tied with someone who has would be considered good news in some places.

He hasn't? Which history book are you reading?

GIULIANI'S PRIMARY GOAL: FLORIDA; [EXCERPT]
St. Petersburg Times. May 22, 2007. pg. 1.A

The state, and its new early vote, will be central to his campaign strategy.

Get ready to see a lot of Rudy Giuliani in Florida.

As Gov. Charlie Crist on Monday signed a bill making Florida one of the earliest presidential primary states, Giuliani was already gearing up to take full advantage. The former New York City mayor for weeks has been beefing up his Florida campaign team, having decided to make the Sunshine State a pivotal part of his strategy for winning the Republican presidential nomination.

In a compressed nominating schedule where some 20 states, including giants like New York and California, will vote on Feb. 5, the idea is that earlier elections in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina may not be quite so all-important. Momentum from Florida's Jan. 29 primary could slingshot a candidate to success a week later when most of the delegates are awarded.

"It's the No. 1 target," Attorney General Bill McCollum, chairman of Giuliani's Florida campaign, said of the Sunshine State.

"He needs to win Florida to have the momentum going into Super Tuesday on the fifth. The other candidates probably feel the same way, but I believe he will put more emphasis on Florida than they will," McCollum said. "He sees the big states, Texas, California, New York and Florida, as the key to the campaign."

Which explains the recent flurry of hiring and interviewing of political operatives by the Giuliani campaign in Florida. In addition to field organizers in central and northeast Florida, he hired former McCollum strategist Paul Seago as his executive director for Florida and Orlando-area operative Kathryn Staczek as his state director of field operations. More staffers are expected to be named soon.

Giuliani campaign manager Mike DuHaime said any campaign could win the nomination if it fails to win the other early elections in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina.

"We're going to play very hard in all the early states, but Florida is no doubt the place where we're strongest," DuHaime said. "It's the biggest state that is now pre-Feb. 5 so it makes it tremendously important."

THAT is analysis.

Actually, it's fiction. Rudy most certainly has concentrated on Florida.

I think that is wrong. Rudy wants the Huckster to take Mitt out so he (Rudy) can win in the South and New England. Rudy knows he cannot take Mitt head on in the heartland.

LOL----that WOULD be mortifying for the mayor.

Methinks Rudy goes back to the heartland--not to win, b/c he can't-----but so he won't rank behind ol' Ron when the votes are counted.

That’s not fiction, that’s a typo. The story was about Iowa, which Rudy has skipped so he COULD concentrate on Fla and such states. I understood what he meant. Let he or she without typos cast the first sone.

Yeah, but the difference is this: Romney courted conservatives, made nice with conservatives, and made nice conservative sounds.

OTOH, Giuliani told conservatives to take a hike, and had the gall to insult gun-owners with his cell phone stunt at the NRA.

From the get go, Giuliani rubbed conservatives' noses in his gun-grabbing, gay-loving, abortion-worshipping agenda.

When Giuliani ran for Mayor the NY Conservative Party would have endorsed Giuliani ---all he had to do was come out against infanticide (partial birth abortion)----the creep could not even do that and prefered to run on the Liberal ticket.

StonewallVets and NAMBLA:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1794584/posts

Excerpt:

History

NAMBLA emerged from the tumultuous political atmosphere of the 1970s, particularly from the leftist wing of the Gay Liberation movement which followed the 1969 Stonewall Riots in New York City. Although discussion of gay adult-minor sex did take place, gay rights groups immediately following the Stonewall Riot were more concerned with issues of police harassment, nondiscrimination in employment, health care and other areas.

--------------------------------------------

And also, Harry Hay's, the founder of Stonewall and NAMBLA, was affiliated with communism:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1794584/posts?page=91#91

Excerpt:

Harry Hay
Pioneer, coalition-builder and radical faerie

A tall and muscular young man, Hay worked as both an extra and ghostwriter in 1930s Hollywood. He developed a passion for theater, and performed on Los Angeles stages with Anthony Quinn in the 1930s, and with Will Geer, who became his lover. Geer (who later generations grew to love as Grandpa Walton on the TV series “The Waltons”), took Hay to the San Francisco General Strike of 1934, and indoctrinated him into the American Communist Party. Hay became an active trade unionist. A blend of Marxist analysis and stagecraft strongly influenced his later gay organizing.

Despite a decade of gay life, in 1938 Hay married the late Anita Platky, also a Communist Party member. The couple were stalwarts of the Los Angeles Left.

---------------------------------------

So, anyone affiliated with Stonewall, Human Rights Campaign, GLBT, Lavender Caucus, Jesse Jackson’s Rainbow Coalition, Log Cabin Republicans, VictoryFunds, and some others ALL have published, admitted, affiliations of this group. Therefore they are also affiliated with NAMBLA, Communism and the antiwar movement.

Liz,

We’ve been saying this all along, haven’t we?
Rudy cannot win.

Even still, 8% remain asleep. His polling needs to be around the margin of error - a perfect descript for Rudy.

Regards...

Liz, all your comments in #1 can pretty much be summed up by Rooty's own words:
"Most of Clinton's policies are the same as mine".

So... do we really need a Billy Jeff lite (cough) 'republican' in the WH? Yeah, like when pigs fly.

And if Rooty was the GOP nominee did steal the GOP nomination to run against The Beast, it would be like Hill running against Bill -- just what this country needs, NOT!

And speaking of Billy Jeff & Rooty, here's the REALLY sick part; at least Billy Jeff DIDN'T use taxpayer money for 24/7 protection and police taxi service for his Bimbos. Annnnnd he didn't pick up his wife in a a bar. (there's a name for women like that, it starts with a 'w'.)

Geez, how disgusting is that when Billy Jeff can claim the moral high ground.

Sorry, typo on state, meant to say Rudy has never concentrated on Iowa.

But that was kind of obvious, wasn't it.
