Wrong.

Proof?

The vaccine is not mandatory

But the vaccine is there and many people avail themselves of that option. So many people do "give 'em chickenpox". And there is nothing wrong with that.

Because they are both procedures involving sexual organs as directed by religion.

And the article never mentioned male circumcision, yet, as in every FGM thread, many people swoop in here and hijack the thread.

Why is that?

Why not discuss the article?

You've gone off the reservation, I'm afraid.

Publius, you have the patience of a saint.

Or better yet, performed on them.

Those multiculturalists, who would deny that, need to have the practice of female mutilation rubbed in their faces.

Not that it does me any good. It seems like there are two types of people here: (1) the folks that are legitimately interested in having a good, intellectual discussion about a lot of interesting topics; and (2) folks who are generally smug and want to come in and zing a few people just for the sake of zinging.

Generally, I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, and occasionally I'm treated to people who fall into the latter camp. Maybe that's the case here. Eh.

Calling Africa The Dark Continent has nothing to do with the complexion of its inhabitants.

How could he talk then?

Excellent point

I went back to reread what he wrote and it is so stupid and asinine on so many levels it either has be sarcasm or one of the most stupidest post ever written on FR

Because they are both procedures involving sexual organs as directed by religion.

So then baptism and witch-drowning should always be discussed together, since they are both religious rituals involving water.

Heh.

I was looking for a counter-example like that and the well was dry. Thanks for doing my thinking for me.

Not sure what “slanted” wording you are against...the Media’s or mine....if the case is mine....then I will not apologize, I meant the words to hit home

Knock yerself out. However, those two things are not still currently happening, and they both don't involve pain.

But you can post what you want.

This article isn't worth discussing. Muslims are scum, and they've done this forever. They are vile. I've read all of this before. And no one will stop them because it's all in the name of religion, and we can't have anyone insulting another's religion, now can we?

My only point, and my original post, was agreeing with another freeper regarding the ritual of circumcision.

The same one(s) that practice FGM.

Sorry, as a mother, seeing my newborn shrieking over an unnecessary procedure IS most certainly a big deal.

Let the men handle the important stuff when it comes to boys. Women get too emotional.

Circumcision is not important, it is cultural, and quite recent for the general population. My dad is not circumcised, and neither is my FIL.

The only kids we knew in school who weren’t circumcised were black kids. It must have been popular in the 50’s.
