MANCHESTER, N.H. Bill and Hillary Rodham Clinton have been in career-threatening scrapes before, but never quite like the one they face in the New Hampshire primary on Tuesday, when nothing less than their would-be dynasty will be on the line.
In trying to battle back from her loss in the Iowa caucuses to Senator Barack Obama of Illinois, Mrs. Clinton is recalibrating her message in hopes of producing Comeback Kid: The Sequel achieving the reversal of fortune her husband pulled off with his second-place finish here in the Democratic nomination contest in 1992.
Mrs. Clinton, after arriving here at 4 a.m. Friday, used a rally in Nashua to begin focusing on young voters and independents, two groups that flocked to the Obama banner in Iowa. She said she wanted to appeal to young people, and surrounded herself with them at the rally, in contrast to her caucus night party where older, familiar faces from the Clinton administration and her political team stood out.

This is interesting. When I looked at this photo on the NY TIMES site, I did not see that disturbing image on the window.

achieving the reversal of fortune her husband pulled off with his second-place finish here in the Democratic nomination contest in 1992.The DBMs keep trying to compare this campaign with BillyJeff's from the 90s.
Sorry, it can't be done. Different people, different time, different climate.
I'm beginning to believe Senator Clinton's minions and handlers don't understand these fundamental changes either.

One longtime adviser complained that the campaigns senior strategist, Mark Penn, realized too late that change was a much more powerful message than experience. The political strategy of the Clintons has always been--"Let's do extensive polling, figure out what the people want, and make believe that's who we are."
It reminds me of the old joke--the Jewish tailor is fitting a guy for a suit. The guy likes the suit, but wants it in green. The tailor says, "You want a green suit, we'll turn on the green light."
Methinks the Clintons have "turned on the green light" once too often. Mehopes.

Hillary only knows one way. Scorch and burn. She may end up damaging both Edwards and Obama to the point that it won’t matter who the Dems nominate. The campaigns for the general election will be dead man walking.

Her allies, including Gen. Wesley K. Clark and former Representative Richard A. Gephardt of Missouri, are also fanning out in New Hampshire.Yep, when you want to get young people energized about your candidacy you unleash Dick Gephardt. That always works.

That line is so funny since Hillary has brought out Wes Clark, Madeleine Albright, Billy Boy, Richard A. Gephardt, her mother, a former grade-school teacher - all seniors and all touting her "greatness." Yep, all of those cronies of hers will help her appeal to the younger generation- Not. Oh, I forgot, she does "USE" her daughter, who has no appeal to anyone at all - no weight with the underprivileged/poor or middle-class since she has lived a protected life away from reality... and won't even talk to the press or answer questions.

Here in Massachusetts, there are Obama bumper stickers everywhere. Not a single one for Shrillary. The other day, I was driving through southern NH and there were tons of Obama yard signs, not a single one for the Wicked Witch of the Ozarks.
In my opinion, Obama getting the Democrat nomination is the best thing that could happen to the GOP. It will finish off the Clintons forever. If Shrillary wins the nomination and loses the general election in November, she'll be back. But she cannot politically survive getting blown out in the primaries. If she loses the nomination to Obama, her career in national politics is over.
Now many in the GOP are afraid to face Obama in the general election. I am not worried about Obama. He might be the darling of the left, the "flavor of the month" so to speak, but he cannot win enough electoral votes to be president. His Muslim heritage and lack of experience are huge liabilities for him and he will get clobbered outside the urban areas no matter who the GOP puts up.
I think Shrillary would get clobbered too but I just can't stomach having her in the limelight for the next 10 months. I want her to just go away. And like I said earlier, if she gets the nomination, she'll be back to haunt us again in later elections. I do not think a loss (no matter how huge) in a general election will finish her politically, but the failure to win the nomination at all surely will.

Is the New York Times now saying that this is the Clinton Dynasty we are supposed to be electing to the Presidency? Two for the price of one?

Darn it. I'm trying to RSVP for her event at the high school tomorrow. It won't let me. To have a note back confirming that "effing jew bastard" had reservations would have absolutely been sold on ebay. Part of the problem may be that, although I put in the zip code for the area, when I hit the SUBMIT button, it defaults to my zip code here. Come on, someone should be able to sign up with an outrageous name and use the proper zip code to get yourself invite. To have an invitation to Vince Foster would be pretty cool.

Post of the day!
On another note: Hey, Hildy, politics is like football. Once in a while the stars align and you get a great run. But take the pieces of the puzzle apart and try to reassemble them in a different setting, a different time, different circumstances and even Joe Montana doesn’t play like Joe Montana any more.

I do think an Obama nomination would finish off the Klintoons for good, which (as Bill Parcells,in another context, is wont to say) is a “good thing, not a bad thing.”
However, I do think that Obama will be difficult to beat in Nov. That said, I think it will be difficult for any Republican to win in Nov, and, among the Rat candidates, Obama is probably the least dangerous to the long-term fate of our country.

Okay, here is the challenge: the first person who can sign up on Hillary’s site as Vince Foster and get a confirmation to attend an event in New Hampshire will get a HILLARY! UNCENSORED DVD.
Event schedule: http://www.hillaryclinton.com/events/20070210/?sc=8
SIGN UP: http://www.hillaryclinton.com/join/?sc=2 *** if you want it to come to Vince Foster, put both of those names in the FIRST NAME box and whatever clever name in the LAST NAME box. Make sure to use the zipcode for the area to make them think you are in New Hampshire.

Sorry Sam, I disagree with your statement
"If she loses the nomination to Obama, her career in national politics is over" It will not be over. Hillary loves power too much, she will either keep her seat in New York and move to the left and become a muck racker (like Babs Boxer) or listen to me here, yes a Supreme Court nominee from an Obama administration. Think about it, she would love to sit on a life time appointment legislating from the bench as much as she could.

Sorry, it can't be done. Different people, different time, different climate.I agree: We've already HAD the clinton experience, and even some of the previous-kool-aid-sucking-libs have to admit that clintons are abhorent.
The best thing to come out of Herself's bulldozing drive for power might just be that it destroys the false-"legacy" that billyboy was planning on. All of these reminders and forced realizations may prevent even the lib writers of "history" to acknowledge the absolute clintonian corruption.
All of that being said, I still don't trust the bitch:
