Wasn't it Arabs who destroyed the library of Alexandria? They'll do it if they can. Scum of the earth.

Buy lots of bullets, open a bullet factory in Paris, don’t sell bullets to anyone that is not native french.
Send imports of 45 colts and give them away to only native French.
We can bring al qeada to their Knees but, we must have an iron fist

Is Paris Burning?

If the mullahs there take up the call, paris had best prepare itself.

Arise children of the fatherland
The day of glory has arrived
Against us tyranny’s
Bloody standard is raised
Listen to the sound in the fields
The howling of these fearsome soldiers
They are coming into our midst
To cut the throats of your sons and consorts

To arms citizens Form your battalions
March, march
Let impure blood
Water our furrows

...

What! These foreign cohorts!
They would make laws in our courts!
What! These mercenary phalanxes
Would cut down our warrior sons
Good Lord! By chained hands
Our brow would yield under the yoke
The vile despots would have themselves be
The masters of destiny

One call to our State Department, or any member of Democrat Party will certainly advise the Froggies to surrender now, and avoid less pain or suffering.

As a stipulation they may ask the heathen muzzies to bring sharp knives, or use the guillotine, thereby enabling them to cut their heads of with less effort.

Why? Does France have a base in Saudi Arabia that I've not known about? I'll ask Ron Paul, he'll know.

I don’t think that is going to happen.
The french will tire of these mooselimb bastards and deal with them in their own way someday.
How long it takes till that day comes?
I know we here have a little bit bigger chip on our shoulder but I still have hope for some french balls.

Ancient and modern sources identify four possible occasions for the destruction of the Library:

1. Caesar’s conquest 48 BC;
2. The attack of Aurelian in the 3rd century;
3. The decree of Theophilus in 391;
4. The Muslim conquest in 642 or thereafter.

AQ’s target list is not just economic but cultural. To attack the Louvre is to attack Western civilization, which these Islamic fascists reject. Security was already high when I was in Paris in January 2006 and it was not uncommon to see paramilitary forces with automatic weapons patrolling near major monuments. I also believe that the French would have little tolerance for any such attacks and would quickly start rounding up and deporting foreign Muslims.

Sarko just could be the right man for the job. Last November w spent 3 days in Paris. Everyone there went out of their way to be nice. BTW, the arabs rioted during the same time, 12 miles North of Paris. The French this time let them do it for 2 days then cut the BS.

It is the other way around. You are correct I think that there is no French presence in Saudi Arabia, though there are extensive business ties (at least previously with Saddam) and with Syria. What AQ does have is bases in France == all those carbeques and “youths” are evidence of their existence.

If only Caesar had written commentaries on his African campaign as he did with the Gallic and Civil War campaigns.

If AQ wants to destroy Paris and if Islam wants to conquer Europe, it’s up to the Europeans to save their own butts. We aren’t gonna do it for them this time. If they don’t learn from two world wars, that’s their problem, and when they find themselves living under Shariah law, perhaps they’ll wish they’d thought twice.

Over the centuries, there may have been several library collections at Alexandria that were acquired and destroyed.

That is true. Ireland, Romania, and Poland have large Catholic populations and won’t give it up to the ROP. The Germans and the Russians you just don’t mess with, and they don’t take a lot of crap. Also the Germans have six million dead Jews on their record, so they aren’t about to go Islamic. Denmark has a large Muslim population, but given the spine they showed with the cartoon fiasco, I don’t think they’ll accept Shariah law.

France, Switzerland, Sweden, Holland, Italy, and Britain on the other hand....

"The loss of so many books.... so much knowledge lost...."

I believe it was probably lost in a calamity where almost all died...maybe an earthquake/tsunami and the survivors were people at a distance with little knowledge of the library anyway. Fertile ground for vague rumors, etc.
