Chris Wallace is a BUTTHEAD for not allowing FDT to finish his statements/points

I thought the same thing -- but it's fair to point out that since then, he's cut others off, too. All in all, this was an excellent format for the candidates. And as much as I hate to say it, the ABC debate last night was superior to anything we'd seen so far.

The past two nights have given us more substance than we've had in the past year.

Luntz’s focus group overwhelmingly liked Mitt as the winner and said Fred was the weakest of the group. They also said Huckabee came across poorly on life issues. Go figure.

Although actual delegates were not selected, they are bound by the result.
***Ok, that seems to make sense of what I’ve been hearing. Where is this all spelled out? I no longer trust the MSM to get it right unless it’s in 2 or three MSM sources.

Right, although the delegates as of right now, based on their assigned positions in the vote, would be roughly what the ealier poster had: Mitt somewhere at 17, Huck at 13-14, Fred at 8, and so on.

I did a search on the day after the caucus because of a comment made by an Iowa FReeper. He said that the Hucksterbots did not hang around to nominate delegates. From multiple sites, I found that they are bound on the first round. They could be selecting Romney or even Thompson delegates that have to vote for Huckabee... on the first ballot.

Yes. The Dems have (so far) allocated more “super delegates” than the GOP, so Clinton leads, despite an early loss. There is a possiblity that she could lose a few of these primaries and, so long as the campaign doesn’t panic, still win the thing with some of the big northeastern states and CA because of the “superdelegates.”

I particularly enjoyed watching the “Fox News Unfair” sign trapsing past in the middle of Luntz’s presentation.

Chis Wallace was antagonistic to Fred the whole night and Fred Barnes is a jerk for his comment about FDT after the debate...I’m glad Bill Krystal corrected him...Wallace would not let Fred talk. Romney got loads of time....he talked all over himself. What Fred said was actually interesting and was about issues and not himself...muffled scream...is it just me, or does it look like there is a concerted effort by media to ridicule FDT?

You are correct (post #1), and the debate was loaded against Fred Thompson.

Keep in mind the Japanese PBS like comments posted today about the upper tier Republican candidates who are paying lip service to stopping illegal immigration. And that after the primary is over they swing the other way towards Amnesty. Recall Bush’s actions in this regard.

No difficulty guessing who these upper tier candidates are who will do this!

John McCain is a ‘Mainstream Media’ reincarnation. He needs to be beat hard in New Hampshire.

“I’m not a fan of Charlie Gibson , but he moderated yesterday’s debate very well.”

I thought he did a fair job, but he still allowed Clinton to not answer the questions. She starts talking and quickly changes to attacking Bush. Does she really not understand that he will not be running again?

Fred did great tonight. Just wish he would not put his hands in front of his face so often. Body language.......

Romney was too slick. He did not win in my opinion. I just don’t trust him. Can’t really tell you why.

Just don’t trust Romney!

The signs in the windows, during the focus group, were a hoot!

How did you like the repeat performance by one of the so-called “undecided” participants?

sorry for the delay.

Fred Barnes said, right away after the post debate program started, that the problem for Fred Thompson was that he had placed 3rd in Iowa so he HAD to continue in the race....and he cracked himself up he thought he was so funny! What is the problem they have with Fred?? It makes no sense to me.
