How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Start Loving Obama
The American Thinker ^ | 7 January 2008 | Randall Hoven

If Republicans, candidates and base alike, cannot pull themselves out of the funk in which they find themselves, it soon will be time to start making the best of a bad situation. Some truly believe the GOP blew its big chance, their first and best chance in about 50 years. They think it might be better, even for Republicans, to see how a Barack Obama might do in office and for Republicans to join the Miami Dolphins and the St. Louis Rams in putting this season behind them and trying to salvage next season.

Better read Obama’s history before you decide this.

Yea, let’s put an empty suit liberal in office who has zero experience. I would rather have a random lottery of trailer park residents.

As Mark Twain said “The reports of the GOP’s death have been greatly exaggerated.”

Really silly. As I recall, even the Miami Dolphis played their hearts out to win and actually beat the Ravens.

I say, if it didn't work out the first time, try again. Reagan wouldn't tolerate such nonsense. He's say, "elect the best Republican you can, give him a House and a Senate, and do the right thing, because ANY Republican is still better than ANY Democrat, including Obama."

Sorry to tell you but the Reagan era is over. Now we don’t have any republicans anymore - just compassionate conservatives who think they need to buy votes like the dems.

"Yea, let’s put an empty suit liberal in office who has zero experience"

Barak reminds me of this scene from "My Cousin Vinny":

Vinny holds up a card and tells his cousin, "The defense wants you to believe that this is a brick. It has height like a brick and it has width like a brick, but turn it sidewways and its just a card"

Somebody, hopefully, will be able to turn Obama sideways and people will see that he is a cardboard creation of the msm. There is no man there only a political boy band.

In this election year, the Republican candidates barely even pay lip service to such notions. Now each one has a government program for every problem, just like the Democrats. Huckabee is ready to remove "conservative" from "compassionate conservative". Romney introduced universal health care in Massachusetts. McCain believes in global warming and gave us Campaign Finance Reform. Thompson agreed with McCain on CFR and went to bat for the plaintiff's bar when tort reform came up. Ron Paul thinks jihadis will just go away if we ignore them. Giuliani's highest elected office was mayor.

The only Conservative in the GOP race is Duncan Hunter. All the rest are attacking each other in an effort to pretend they are Conservative.

DUNCAN HUNTER FOR PRESIDENT!!!

Good Bush bash!

And though it is on the mark, in all fairness it leaves out some of the good things Bush did.

They were probably in there, perhaps hidden behind a comma.

How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Start Loving Obama

My wife said something similar to me yesterday and I just scowled. She said, "Yeah, but he sounds so good and smooth!" I said, "Yeah, but he ain't sayin' jack-". She said, "They say he's doing this to white women all over the country!" (Right away I thought of a couple of scenes from Blazing Saddles.) Then I said, "Michael Jordan, yeah, OK; but Barak Hussein Socialista Radar Osama Obama? Gimme a break."

Now, you just haveta understand -- my wife is glued to right-wing talkshows all day every day; she records their shows and goes around with headphones; there isn't a more conservative gal that I know of, and she argues very persuasively for the cause. And he's got HER thinking. AAAAARGH!

Better read Obama’s history before you decide this.

Especially his close history with the Nation of Islam in Chicago, his pastor's friendship with Mohamar Qaddafi, and Obama's radical statements on the Palestinians.

Yes, let’s elect a leftist who ‘seems’ like a likeable, nice guy. Don’t check out his credentials, or anything. Who will you blame when you realize the truth, but too late? Why don’t these people read up about all the candidates. There are some good ones out there, but if you’re waiting for the media to find them for you, well...that says more about you than them.

We have Fred and Duncan...two excellent candidates. They won’t be winners unless some people get behind them and help them make it.

The latest on Obama.

On the 27th, Raila Odinga, Obama’s friend, lost the presidential election in Kenya.

Obama and Odinga share the same Luo heritage and history and has made it possible for them to share the same spotlight at this defining moment in Kenyan and American histories about hope and fear.

Raila Odinga has, in his own words, a "close personal friendship" with Obama.

When Obama went to Kenya in August of 2006, he was hosted by Raila and spoke in praise of him at several rallies in Nairobi.  Obama’s bias for his fellow Luo was so blatant that a Kenya government spokesman denounced Obama during his visit as Raila’s "stooge."

When Raila Odinga lost the presidential election to Mwai Kibaki, he claimed the vote was rigged, whereupon his tribal followers went on murderous rampages, such as in the town of Eldoret, where on New Years Day dozens of Christians were burned to death in a church set on fire.  Throughout Kenya, hundreds of people have been politically murdered in the last few days.

Islam had picked Raila to win.

The Evangelical Alliance of Kenya has posted on its website a photograph copy of a Memorandum of Understanding, dated and signed on August 29, 2007, between Raila Odinga and Shiekh Abdullah Abdi, chairman of the National Muslim Leaders Forum of Kenya.

Here is a summary on the agreement which was signed:

* It pledges the support of Kenyan Moslems for Raila’s election.  In return, as President of Kenya, Raila agrees to 14 actions, listed a) through n) on page two.

* Within 6 months re-write the Constitution of Kenya to recognize Shariah as the only true law sanctioned by the Holy Quran for Muslim declared regions.

* Within one year facilitate the establishment of a Shariah court in every Kenyan divisional headquarters.  [Note: everywhere in Kenya, not just in "Muslim declared regions."]

* Popularize Islam, the only true religion… by ordering every primary school in Kenya in the regions to conduct daily Madrassa classes.

* Impose a total ban on open-air gospel crusades by worshippers of the cross…

* Outlaw gospel programs… on KBC, the National Broadcaster.

* Impose a total ban on the public consumption of alcoholic beverages…

* Impose an immediate ban on women’s public dressing styles that are considered immoral and offensive to the Muslim faith…

Obama's involvement in Kenyan politics, whether tribal or religious, is bothersome.

Especially if it is both.

Why would she single out “white” women? Because it’s cool to like the black guy? Can you tie her up on election day?

OMG, that’s just so 70’s. “I like ‘colored’ people. I have lots of ‘colored’ friends”

(Barack Obama) Senior dies in an alcohol-related car accident in Kenya, leaving three wives, one mistress, six sons and a daughter -- there is also the possibility of an eight progeny via the mistress.

I can't say what I am thinking.

I’m afraid a nation can become so full of Hyphenated-Americans that who we are and where we’ve been can quickly and radically become nothing....

On December 10th, Obama, speaking about his ability to handle international affairs, said, "If, as president, I travel to a poor country to talk to leaders there, they will know I have a grandmother in a small village in Africa without running water, devastated by malaria and AIDS."

All that money he and Michelle make and granny's still living in a hut???????????

“They were probably in there, perhaps hidden behind a comma.”

Yep.

What a disaster “compassionate conservatism” has been.

Smoldering wreckage as far as the eye can see.
