January 8, 2008 -- Sexual misconduct by public-school staff more than doubled between 2002 and 2007, mirroring a dramatic jump in overall wrongdoing uncovered by city school investigators.

Special Schools Investigator Richard Condon said yesterday that his probers received more complaints and substantiated more cases against school workers in 2007 than in any year since the office was created in 1992.

I imagine that they're just starting to pay attention.

Are they going to sue and bankrupt the public schools like they did the Catholics?

The high school I attended had a case of an English teacher and some members of the football team. That was either 1949 or 1950. No complaints were lodged. Maybe the only thing that has changed is the complaint side of the story.

I would love to see the figures from the years 1950 through today for cases like this.

What are you talking about...it is their private lives. This is a report by a sex obsessed.... Oh, that was Bill Clinton.

You can see the slide downward, a direct consequence of the actions of the Clintons.

Yep. I don’t for a single second think that this is something that somehow just started happening during the Bush administration.

How much of this in the NY public schools is due to the policy of the National Edukashun Assoc. and its state affiliates, in favor of protecting "alternative lifestyles"? The more you encourage deviant behavior, the more of that behavior you will get. This ain't rocket science.

Come on it’s not just schools.

Bur school is 6 hours/day, 5 days/week, 36 weeks/year. Lots of contact time.

No. To the Drive-By Media, the public school system is a sacred institution, one of a handful of institutions not on their hit list.

My point was contact time — how long a child is in that environment. Kids aren’t typically in those listed environments 6/5/180, with 25+ kids per employee and daily familiarity, as in the case of teachers.

I personally think that many of these cases are just students and parents getting even for Sally getting a bad grade. It’s the new I’m going to the school board if I don’t get what I want. It’s bad enough having to deal with grad. and med. students this day, you couldn’t pay me enough to teach in k-12 school.
