I’m thinking possum.
So it’s not true that they are all born dead by the side of the road.

It worked when I clicked the Play icon at the bottom left of the screen. The big icon may not work.

Nice roll up on the cold weather sleeping bag.
It looks like all his crap on the ALICE would fall off, pull off, drop off in minutes.
Jungle hat brim, brand new stiff.

I have seen rats scurrying on the sidewalk in S.F. that were much larger than the one in the video (I refer here to the four-leged variety - the ones with long tails and lots of fur). Maybe the rats in its native habitat are kind of puny - they must be if this thing is 5 times larger than they are.

I think the big one is the possum-like animal briefly shown in the middle of the video. The small bushbaby-like critter at the beginning is the ‘other’ new mammal.

The only proper thing to do when you find a cat sized rat is kill it. They need to napalm that entire jungle just to be sure.

Yes, I believe you are right. Still, it isn’t 5 times bigger than at least one rat I saw on Mason St. in S.F. This thing must have been close to 10 inches long (not including tail). It was scurrying alongside of the buildings at Mason and Geary in broad daylight and ran into the theater that is located near there. Must have been late for the matinee.

The ones in downtown Oakland are almost that big, I’d estimate 8-9”.
