Houston is not all wet. Go to 20th in the “historic” Heights. You won’t find bars. Some businesses let you “BYOB”.

Kroger there doesn’t stock beer or wine.

But, if you don’t like the policy, go somewhere else with your business.

I don’t, and i do.

We have de facto prohibition now in this country.

Most people just don't know it.

Yes, people of age can still buy booze, one just cannot safely consume or transport it---anywhere.

libertarians themselves are best shunned lest you wind up being the unfortunate guest of one when he decides to prove what weird jerk he can be in a restaurant.Odd that you think libertarians' money is worth less than other-minded folk in a restaurant.

Just tell them it’s 123-45-6789. People too stupid to understand why it’s wrong to ask for it are also too stupid to react if you give them a fake one. If life gives you idiots, make idiot-ade.

Well, and not just traditional ID theft, but the fact that the supposed “right” people have no right to be ammassing this information either. It’s the government and the corporations that scare me more than the (relatively) amateur ID thieves.

Put your license in the see-through window of your wallet. If you are asked for it, show it police-badge style.

I've been doing a variation on that. The window in my wallet is a little too small and also kind of cloudy, so I do take it out, but I don't hand it to them, I hold it in front of their nose. I hold on to it good. If they try to take it, they're in for a surprise. A couple have tried.
