Senior Giuliani Campaign Staffers Forego Paychecks

About a dozen senior campaign staffers for Rudy Giuliani are foregoing their January paychecks, aides said Friday, a sign of possible money trouble for the Republican presidential candidate.

"We have enough money, but we could always use more money,'' contended Mike DuHaime, Giuliani's campaign manager and one of those who now is working for free. "We want to make sure we have enough to win.''

At the end of December, he said the campaign had $11.5 million cash on hand, $7 million of which can be used for the primary. He disputed the notion of a cash-strapped campaign, and said Giuliani continues to bring in cash; several fundraisers are scheduled this week in Florida.

He certainly looks 'electable' in those pictures!!!

If he needs some free media attention--he could get lots for free by showing up for the next debate in one of those outfits!!!!..lol

“Its all about money. Rudy is the only candidate who can raise $100 million dollars. He is the only one who can get elected.” - often repeated quote from hundreds of Giuliani supporters last year Because its true. Watch the infusion of cash if Rudy picks off the orange state.

Thanks for the ping.

IF---BIG IF---he is running short on funds---I find it hard to believe Rooty can't access the zillions he's got offshore----stashed all over the world in multiple companies he owns. He reportedly earn $one million dollars a month from his global financial interests.

I DO find it believable that Giuliani is tanking from the scandals attached to his name. Giuliani was hurt by scandals involving mobbed-up Bernard Kerik (Rooty's former bodyguard, driver, Police Commissioner and business partner---in that order).

PLUS Rudy's porking his mistress on the public dime and hiding the theft of public services in obscure city agencies, then lying about it to voters.

Unzipped Rudy is something else. Giuliani's messy personal life is a big turnoff to women voters. Rudy had no qualms causing the public humiliation of his second wife by dumping her at a news conference without even telling her. He tried to dump his two young kids out in the streets---saying he was dividing the Mayoral mansion in two---for his mistress.

It makes wives and moms around the country skeptical of putting him in the White House. If he can't control his zipper, how can he control the country?

One news poll found 50% of women overall - and 48% of GOP women - are less likely to vote for Giuliani because he dumped his second wife Donna Hanover at a 2000 press conference.

A lot of women say Giuliani's assigning taxpayer-funded bodyguards/drivers to his girlfriend while his wife was still NYC's First Lady was EVEN WORSE than Rudy's public humiliation of the mother of his children.

"Rotten" is a word that came up again and again when women refer to Rudy.

All of that could affect his fund-raising.

Unless the investigation (Kerik) has him keeping his head down?

I think this is more the case.

Rooty can’t access the zillions he’s got offshore——stashed all over the world in multiple companies he owns........Unless the Kerik investigation has him keeping his head down?

Consider this:

The Bernard Kerik Legal Defense Trust
Mr. Paul D’Emilia, Esq.
119 West 72nd Street, Suite 204
New York, New York 10023
Email: PDemilia@keriklegaltrust.com
WEB SITE http://www.keriklegaltrust.com/

And the:

New York City Correction Foundation
Bernard Kerik, Founder, President

Then there’s:

Frederick J. Patrick (sole signatory on New York City Correction Foundation foundation’s bank accounts). Currently in jail for misusing accounts for phone sex with inmates.

Forbes magazine reported Oct 27, 2006 that Kerik’s New York City Correction Foundation was entangled in petty penny stock deals and unseemly financing projects.

New York City Correction Foundation (1) accepted fees from over-the-counter penny stocks, (2) made alliances that have gone nowhere and (3) formed pacts with businesses and individuals that have come under scrutiny by regulators and law enforcement officers, reports Forbes magazine.

GIULIANI CONNECTION Forbes cited a number of deals that might be perceived as being illegal. Forbes cited New York City Correction Foundation’ foray into Lighting Science Group. Giuliani’s banking arm took a warrant for 1.6 million shares at 60 cents, a fee of $150,000 and a promise to raise cash. The firm went bankrupt. It lost $412,000 on sales of $137,000 in its last six months. Another venture is CamelBak, maker of a hands-free canteens for Marines in Iraq.

It started out under Giuliani’s consulting arrangement with $31 million in sales, but got run into the ground with various missteps, including having as a board member, the disgraced Bernie Kerik who pled guilty to having mob ties.

GIULIANI SHADY DEAL Forbes said Giuliani’s most controversial deal was throwing in with a 2004 project with Applied DNA Sciences, which promised to outsmart counterfeiters by inserting bits of DNA from plants into cosmetics and pills to prevent bootleg versions. Its head, Richard Langley Jr., however, had a shady past, having pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud and commercial bribery in another penny stock scam.

This probably has to do with the patentability one DNA sequence code for particular proteins.
