NASHUA – A top Clinton adviser faces charges of aggravated driving while intoxicated after city police caught him speeding through Greeley Park a day before the state primary.

Sidney Blumenthal, longtime friend and senior adviser to presidential candidate Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y. was allegedly driving a rented car north on Concord Street at a speed of 70 mph when Nashua Police Sgt. Mike Masella decided to stop it at about 12:30 a.m. Monday.

-snip-

Blumenthal was arrested after completing the test and taken to the police department where he refused to take a breath test and was booked on a charge of aggravated driving while intoxicated, Masella said.

You forgot the first two steps:

1. Lose Iowa.

2. Get blotto trying to forget getting called a FJB by her Hillaryness for losing Iowa.

...(Sidney Blumenthal) was allegedly driving a rented car north on Concord Street at a speed of 70 mph ... Although he was driving the opposite direction, Blumenthal, 59, told Masella he had just left Manchester and was trying to get to his hotel.

Hmm. Concord street is not the main highway between Nashua and Manchester. When arrested, Blumenthaul is driving North back in the direction of Manchester, which is about 10 miles away. Something in his story does not compute. Where was he really going?

Sidney was arrested on Sunday evening before the Tuesday vote.

The liberal media embargoed the story so it wouldn’t get reported before Tuesday’s vote.

More evidence that the media will do everything they can to elect Hitlery as their president.

So Sidney Blumenthal seems to have the newpapers ear always. he is the one who goes to England thows bombs from the BRIT papers. Get nasty editorials in whenever and wherever he pleases, it seems. So in this case I guess the MSM is totally burying the story.

Blumenthal is to print jounalism what Bruce Lindsay is to the legal profession. They are slimers through and through.

This is a total cover-up.
It would have had an effect on her effort if everyone awoke to reports of key Clinton aide getting arrested for endangering the lives of NH citizens.

Again, they manage to slither out of danger.

It took Drudge 6 days to get this up on his site. Then he posts it on a Saturday morning? He was once much better than that. I recall a long meeting he had with high level dems last fall.
Also, I got my Smoking Gun update yesterday. Lots of booking photos, but no Sid.

Sidney Blumenthal is one of the famous FOBs - Friends of Bill. He used his closeness to Bill Clinton to take a spin through the revolving door between journalism and politics and join the White House communications team in 1997 after writing articles favourable towards President Clinton.

The journalist, who had written for the New Yorker magazine, the Washington Post, New Republic and Vanity Fair, met the Clintons in the 1980s at a Renaissance Weekend. He became close to them while covering the 1992 presidential campaign. He is as close, if not closer, to Hillary Clinton than her husband.

Thanks. I am not directly tuned into the MSM (no television) - I rely on FR to help me keep up with the bozos. Of course, I knew he was of some relation to the Clinton crime family.

gain, I wonder if this story breaks large.

This is truly incredible.

A senior adviser to Senator Clinton is arrested in New Hampshire just prior to the primary in New Hampshire, and it is not reported until the following weekend?

The Clintons truly have the press in their pocket.

And I do mean the Clintons: I think that Mr. Clinton is simply reprising the very successful tactic that George Wallace took in the 1960s when he ran his wife for governor in Alabama when he wasn't eligible. (If memory serves, there was also a case in Texas of the same sort of thing; checking the net, it appears that it was gubernatorial pair named Ferguson back in 1917.)

I doubt that word made it to the newspapers. I’m a retired LEO from NH, and have had contact with many politicians passing through—either through traffic violations or security details. It’s easy for these things to slip through the cracks unless the department issues a press release or someone inside the department makes a phone call.
