The Clinton Campaign today announced the endorsement of Texas Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee and named her a National Campaign Co-Chair and Gulf States Regional Co-Chair.
"I am pleased today to endorse Hillary Rodham Clinton for President," Jackson Lee said. "Senator Clinton has a great love for America and has a deep understanding of the issues that face our nation. I look forward to having a strategic role in the campaign and helping this dedicated public servant become the next President of the United States."
Jackson Lee is in her seventh term in Congress, and is Co-Chair of the Congressional Children's Caucus and a leading voice on immigration issues. Congressional Quarterly has named her one of the 50 most effective Members of Congress, and U.S. News and World Report called her one of the 10 most influential legislators in the House of Representatives.
Jackson Lee brings extensive experience on the issue of immigration reform, having served as the ranking member of the Immigration Subcommittee of the House Judiciary Committee. As a senior member of the Homeland Security Committee, Jackson Lee has considerable expertise in homeland, border, and national security issues. Additionally, as founder and Co-chair of the Children's Caucus, Jackson Lee will bring a wide range of fresh ideas to the campaign as it focuses on our nation's children.
Prior to her election to Congress, Jackson Lee served two terms on the Houston City Council and before that was an Associate Municipal Court Judge in Houston.
"Sheila is a highly respected leader on children and family issues and the needs of this nation," Hillary said. "I'm delighted that she will help lead our efforts nationally and expand our outreach across the United States."
This article is from way back in May, but I didn't realize Queen Sheila was in Hillary's camp until I read she was at Hillary's N.H. victory party.
She is a very proud member of the racist bigoted Congressional Black Caucus.
I was stuned to hear her putting her best spin on Slick's "Fairy Tale" jab at Obama.
This should make for some fun local politics as more of her uninformed constituency learn she will not be voting for a Black President.
This is why we can’t get anywhere as a people.

How many delegates does Mars have?
Well, maybe she’s betting on the machine and maybe she’s been promised a return favor in a *gulp* Hellary administration.
Great on the border, but not on smarts. She is the one who asked if the Mars lander would go past the place where our people landed. (The Moon maybe) What an idiot!
Many in TX who won’t vote for HRC in the primary will still do so in the genearl election.
Well, with this endorsement, Hillary’s got the double-digit IQ constituency sewn up.

Surprisingly, it seems the CBC is evenly split.
A calculated risk on her part, she believes Hillary’s getting the nomination and she wants in the administration.
It will, however, be interesting to see how she explains this to her constituents.
Clearly someone is campaigning ... for a cabinet position.

In 2003, Lee complained that the names of hurricanes were too “lily white” and demanded that more ‘black’ names be used.
On a visit to the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Lee, a member of the House Science Committee’s space subcommittee, asked if the Mars Pathfinder had taken an image of the flag Neil Armstrong planted there in 1969!
She is the shame of Texas.

Tomorrow the Green Party is having a debate between *their* candidates, Cynthia McKinney and Ralph Nader--moderated by Cindy Sheehan! PJ-Comix and the DUmmie FUnnies will be all over this like white on rice! (Can I say that?)
All this is, is body armor for her later remarks at Obama. If she doesn’t cast the remarks, then they will. Got the popcorn handy here.
Secretary of Silly Hair?
After being around for 55 plus years I have come to expect nothing more from congress.
But was I right about her copying Sideshow Bob's haircut?
My grandson pointed that out to me and ever since, I can't look at either of them (Sideshow Bob and Cynthia McKinney) without picturing it.

I know people type “LOL” after just about anything, but that literally made me laugh out loud.
My favorite Sheila memory from living in Houston was going to the massive Southeast Texas Gun Show in Ballroom B of the George R. Brown Convention Center, along with hundreds of white guys in fatigues carrying rifles.
The Sheila Jackson Lee Community picnic was in Ballroom A. The dropped jaws were hilarious.
