“Woe be to us and our liberty when our law enforcement officers become just as morally bankrupt as the rest of the population. It has already started to happen.”

I’m not morally bankrupt so I would say they are worse. Corruption is not a new idea though.

I spoke to someone on Holy’s management team just after this happened. He’s not gay. His (frightened) wife was upstairs. Seems like a nice guy (I met him once at a function at which my daughter was also performing). His friend the cop introduced him to the other cops and they continued the drinking back at his place. I think Holy’s only mistake might have been drinking a bit much and trusting folks he didn’t know. I’d like to hear from the cop that left. The two a-hole cops should be prosecuted.

I guess these cops take their foosball seriously.

From the prior post, these two cops were rooms mates, guess you could say they were probably Rump Rangers, probably practicing their rump ranger swat team maneuvers..

If this is the guy that did “Achey Brackey Heart,” it was justified.

Foosball is a blast. I used to be quite good.

Used to play it alot on college. Some guys would wear gloves and bring their own silicon cans to spray the rods. Ah, those were the days

Billy Ray Cyrus, who is Hanna Montana’s Dad, had a hit with “Achy Breaky Heart.”

Wonder if the cops were drinking and carrying their guns. Were they on or off duty. I assume off. Cops can carry off duty but I doubt they are supposed to drink. But who know I am a peon to the privilaged.

Getting off easy, yes. Misdemeanors for felonious actions. Let’s see a normal citizen would be charged at a minimum with kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon, and coercion. Just look at OJ. In Texas kidnapping is punishable by: Kidnapping(risk of serious bodily injury)- Second Degree Felony - confinement in Texas Department of Criminal Justice for a term of 2 to 20 years in prision and an optional fine of $10,000.00; or up to 10 years probation

If that is all they are charged with, then I would certainly agree they are getting off easy.

They should receieve the same penalties as anyone else.

They have lost their jobs so far. It would be appropriate that they serve prison time as part of the verdict.

IMO, law enforcement should be held to a higher standard. They know the law and they know what the penalties are. Abusing them in the manner they did was an affront to the law, and the assessment of inferior penalties erodes respect for the law and those who enforce it.

It is vitally important that they be sentenced appropriately.

You may break the law, but if you get off easy it doesn’t erode respect for law enforcement.

There is a guy across the street from me that whips out the pipes when he gets in his cups. He knows one song.
