That isn’t the photo that I saw last year, they had remodeled the ship, so the end was a battering ram, said it would go through metal.

I may have found the photos on some of the shipping blogs, when I stumble across them, there is always something to read.

It has only been a couple days ago that I read they had stopped one whale season for them, by cutting out the main processing ship from the whaler fleet and making it run for safety.

RUSSELL: She works for Pendant Publishing. She’s the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen. You know, I used to work for NBC, but when I go back to her this time, she’ll respect me.

MAN ON RAFT: You’d better get down. They might start firing soon. (harpoon fires)

****

(Russell falls off the boat but still hangs on to a rope. The other man, still in the boat is screaming to him and holds the rope.)

MAN: Keep fighting matey! Get your head above the water! I’ve got you matey! I’ve got you! Matey! (he loses the rope) I’ll remember her name! Elaine Benes! I’ll write to her. I’ll tell her all about you and what you did out here! Goodbye, matey! Gooddbye!

Research? What kind of research requires that you kill over 1000 of them? What products are they harvesting that can't be obtained or manufactured using other means?
I believe that in their eyes, our declaring the whale to be the Holy Fish makes us look like total friggin idiots. And they keep repeating this obvious research lie to make fun of us…
Is this just high-dollar sushi?
Yes. I actually tried whale sushi myself, the last time I was in Osaka. It tastes a bit like beef.

SSCS’s mission is to stop fishing...

Its preferred methods?

Ramming and sinking fishing ships, throwing butyric acid on their decks, and firing machine guns. Watson argues that United Nations resolutions authorize him to commit violent acts.

But he regularly interferes with fisherman and hunters who are committing no crime.

He serves as judge, jury, and executioner — while enjoying the same tax-exempt status as universities and churches.

Whale meat is actually very cheap and used to be a beef substitute in Japan during the 70’s and before. They used to have whale burgers. It’s an extremely cheap meat, and easy to catch. The Japanese can argue that whale hunting is a cultural practice, seeing that it was common in some parts of Wakayama.

Yes, that is the report that I was thinking of, but there is a site with closeups of the ship. It is an ugly and meant to kill design.

Interesting what turns up, but I am freezing my computer with these sites, so will drop the search and settle for these tidbits.

I find it difficult to consider that this type of group is anything more than “just another terrorist group”.

Whaling activists could storm Japanese ships

Whaling activists could storm Japanese whaling ships in the southern oceans following a refusal to return two of their members from a Japanese vessel.

The Sea Shepherd anti-whaling group said this morning that it was not ruling out the possibility it would break and enter on-board the Japanese whaling ship the Yushin Maru to recover their two members, Giles Lane and Benjamin Potts, who were captured on-board the Japanese ship on Tuesday night.

Jonny Vasic from Sea Shepherd told Sky News this morning that they would not discuss future tactics, but that entering the Japanese ship to recover their members was still a possibility.

“We don’t really talk about tactics... at this point we’re not ruling anything out,” Mr Vasic said.

Japan has now set conditions on the men’s release, saying the Sea Shepherd must agree to halt its protest actions when the handover occurs.

However the environmental group says this is tantamount to extortion, and they will not negotiate on condition’s of the men’s release.

“We have no intention of having someone demand from us anything that’s breaking international conservation law,”

“We don’t take demands from someone holding hostages... we want out crew members back and they need to be returned immediately,” Mr Vasic said.

“We’re saying we want our people back, and their basically not releasing our people... we’re hoping that the diplomatic avenue will work.”

Sea Shepherd said that the protests had halted the whale cull for at least four to five days, potentially savings tens of whales from slaughter.

Mr Vasic also denied that the Sea Shepherd had been ignoring calls from the Japanese to prolong the ordeal, as is alleged, and said that they had been available to take calls since the men were captured.

“That’s absolutely incorrect... there has been absolutely no attempt to contact the ship, actually we’ve been trying to contact the Yushin Maru...” he said.

I am sorry, I looked at the photo after your post and think that I would like the meaning of “Stichting”, to mean:

“After Stichting” them into canvas shrouds, without ceremony, they were heaved over the side.

And at last the ship was free to continue its journey”.

SSCS’s mission is to stop fishing...<<<

My says he has a God complex.

In the old days he would have been put into a mental hospital.

Now, the PC crowd, worship him and he can do no wrong.

my opinion of course.

They keep saying he was the founder of Greenpeace, I do not think that is true.

I suspect he is one of them, that ran the real founder of Greenpeace away.

The name of the real founder has not entered my mind this morning, but I do know this about him.

He was run out of the group he founded and called Green “Peace”, he has since formed another group, that is after Peace.

My source is Dr. Bill Wattenberg, at kgo.com and pushback.com.

Dr. Bill is a real scientist, see his webpage at KGO and he talks of the founder often, as Dr. Bill is not a lover of the “peace” crowd.

I have listened to Dr. Bill since he began on the radio, about 30 years ago, he is part of the team that designed our nuclear weapons and parts of the space ships.

Greenpeace Charged with Violating Alaska Environmental Laws

The environmental activist group Greenpeace faces civil and criminal penalties for allegedly disobeying an order to keep one of its ships, the Arctic Sunrise, at anchor after it sailed into Alaska waters without an oil-discharge prevention plan and a certificate of financial responsibility.

Ship Sped Away from Authorities

The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) requires non-tank vessels larger than 400 gross tons to file an oil-spill response plan application five days before entering state waters. State law also requires a ship of Arctic Sunrise’s size to provide insurance information and an application for a certificate of financial responsibility in case of an oil spill, at least 15 days before entering state waters.

The ship arrived in Alaskan waters July 13 without the required documents. The next day, the DEC faxed the crew a notice of violation and ordered the ship to stay at anchor in Ketchikan until the paperwork was completed.

However, one hour after the vessel agent signed an affidavit saying he had read the letter and would comply with the order, the ship left Ketchikan, according to Craig Wilson, section manager for financial responsibility and prevention initiatives at the DEC.

I have a question or two....LOL

The group is a U.S. 501-c group, therefore is the U.S. liable for damages to Japan’s group?

Not in dollars, maybe, but if it were someone else’s ship, like China or Russia, would they say “The U.S. attacked us!”.

When they attack, will they fly the Jolly Roger, black flag, or an
American flag?

Why do we allow such groups to use us?

Sorry, strike the last question and just read the communist agenda.........we obey it.
