Hannity & Colmes was another Romney infomercial tonight. Hannity carried Romney over 3 commercial breaks.
It is amazing when you contrast the gentle treatment Fox gives Romney when you contrast it with Huckabee.
They don't pull any punches when Huckabee is on. They slam him with accusations but do it by saying "so and so says this about you, how are you going to respond to them when they accuse you of this?" LOL! They do this day and night on Fox and on radio and they had the audacity to question Huckabee for showing the media an ad he pulled! These people like Hannity, Coulter, Ingraham... have been playing surrogate hatchtmen (and hatchet-women) for Romney for several months! (after Rudy disappeared they became hacks for Romney.)
It's funny how condescending Coulter was in her latest rant. These people act like we are sheep but they are the people who all came out simultaneously with the same exact talking points, word for word. The problem is their talking points were based upon half truths given to them by the Club for Growth and they never did their homework beyond those talking points. It was clear they only had one side of the story and the sad thing is that even if they knew they were wrong, they are too far in it to ever publically admit it.
There is a serious schism now and regardless of what they say about how we will "unite" in our "hate for Hillary Clinton" (as O'reilly stated) and vote for whomever is the Republican nominee, they may be in for a rude awakening.
I have long been a fan of these people but it really makes me think about the fact that some like ann coulter get rich by selling books that are so malicious and obnoxious in nature that regardless of the fact that I agree with most of what she says in terms of policy, she would NEVER win over ANYONE who is a Democrat or even a moderate. What good is someone to the CAUSE of conservatism if they are so obnoxious in their delivery that they harden the hearts of those who hear her?
It makes me think that people like ann and others like the divisiveness as it sells their books. How is anyone honestly supposed to receive the message and have the truth penetrate their hearts when the messenger delivering the message is insulting them? I don't believe in watering down the truth nor did Christ or his apostles. But they did instruct us to deliver the truth in LOVE; which is something these people are clearly NOT doing.
Put in that context, perhaps people like Coulter are in reality - entertainers. They entertain those already converted - but they are of virtually no use in winning anyone over.
So if you are in SC or FL and you are listening to these folks on the TV or radio and having any doubts about what your HEART tells you is the candidate for whom you should cast your precious vote - because you have heard these entertainers who make their living from the status quo slamming your candidate:
1. Ask yourself how many converts these "experts" have won over to the truth in the past decade.
2. look at Governor Huckabee and how he delivers his message.
3. Ask yourself which has the best chance of making anything change for the better. i.e. who has the best chance of being listened to by an open minded Democrat or independent?
There are more Democrats than there are Republicans. So choose with solicitude.

Thanks for the update - I turned it off when slippery Mitt came on ...

Who else are you going to slam? And have you met your quota yet?
Yes, the media dolts plug whomever they are told to plug (i.e. paid to plug). However, I have no sympathy for Huckster at all and I hope his candidacy crashes and burns as soon as possible.
What has Ann done besides make herself wealthy?
She has contributed mightily to the literary history of conservative thought.
For that, she should be held high. She can ride on my shoulders any time she likes.
Check it out! A new sign-up...and the very first posting is to dis Ann. How cute...I haven’t gotten to use my ZOT html in awhile. :-)

She’s very good at exposing RINOs
We already have great service academies-- West Point, Anapolis, Colorado Springs, the Merchant Marines and Coast Guard-- but not the kind the Huckster wants.
Well, to begin with, she has used capitalization correctly..............
Ann Coulter is asking for voters to do a little research before they vote. If you did just a little research about Huckabee and McCain, you would discover that they might as well be democrats.
By the way, I was furious with FOX News for playing Huckabee’s hit piece against Romney that Huckabee supposedly pulled.
Maybe FOX News is finally giving Romney a fair shot which the anti Romney folks can’t tolerate.
sHe Has dOne EnoUgh.
Ann Coulter’s books are neither malicious or obnoxious. They are courageous efforts to tell the truth that the media regularly suppress. Ann Coulter visits college campuses and debates liberals on hostile ground. She is an intelligent and insightful woman who is both accurate and entertaining.
The fact that you find Ann Coulter “malicious and obnoxious” and can’t figure out that Huckabee is a phony shows you are either hopelessly naive or a Democrat disinformation agent.
I knew Ann was pushing for Romney. She always got flushed when she talked about him on TV and her tone of voice softened. lol
Poor Ann, she has it bad. ;-)
I hope she realizes she has just made Romney a bigger target for the MSM. She should have endorsed Huckabee.
Let me pay you a compliment. As a recent arrival, I admire your courage in posting nightly vanities.
I think Ann is wrong to keep plugging Romney while ignoring Fred, but she is certainly right to jump on Huckabee.
As for what she has accomplished, I’d say quite a lot. She almost single-handedly killed the McCarthyite scare tactic, which the left had been pulling out every five minutes for the past 50 years in order to silence their critics.
Ann is sharp but funny, which is more than you can say for the heavy handed insults regularly thrown around by the left. She successfully makes the leftists into objects of ridicule, which is a powerful and effective approach.
And she understands what the problem is with Huckabee—not that he is an Evangelical Christian, but that he is a hypocritical fake, who uses preacher language to further his own corrupt political ambitions.
Your first mistake. Half the time they are wrong. The other half they are lucky. Most of the time they are just talking heads with an audience that don't have a clue.

Bud Light presents:
...(Real men of genius)
Today we salute you, Mr. Mike Huckabee paid FR campaign shill!
...(Mr. Mike Huckabee paid FR campaign shill)
What does a liberal Republican do when he is afraid to face grass roots conservatives himself? He pays his coffee and errand boy minimum wage to do it for him
...(skim milk with three sweet and lows)
Sitting in a cubicle at campaign headquarters you search Conservative websites like the NY Times, Washington Post, LA Times, Salon, CNN and Daily Kos looking for favorable articles about the Huckster to post on FR
...(oooh, here's one from DU!)
Armed with nothing but talking points from Hucks' website, you attempt to convince conservatives that your candidate is not a Christian socialist or a pro-life Democrat
...(Jesus would want amnesty for illegals)
When FReepers say Huck is a fiscal liberal, algore loving environmental wacko, open border amnesty pusher, Jimmy Carter foreign policy appeaser, nanny state smoker banner you provide the brilliant original response...a link to his campaign website
...(copy, paste, copy, paste)
Conservatives? We don't need no stinkin' Conservatives!
...(Highly overrated)
All we need is a leftist who is pro-life, has an R next to his name, and talks about Jesus.
...(Praise the Lord!)
So crack open an ice cold Bud Light, oh Karl Rove of the blogosphere, because when a FReeper runs for office, we'll be calling you...

...(Mr. Mike Huckabee paid FR campaign shill)
Bud Light beer. Anheuser-Busch, St. Louis, Missouri.
It is amusing watching people who, based on their rhetoric, are lefties, run around conservative web sites thinking that people are going to turn against long standing pundits like Rush, Hannity, Coulter, and and endless number of other conservatives that slam Huckabee, the lib’s choice for GOP.
Ann Coulter is running for President??? [mulls over that]
YAY!!!! Go, Ann! Remember that video she did with Rush where he was prez and she was the VP? How many liberal heads would simply explode in that parallel universe?! LOL!! :-)
“Who else are you going to slam? And have you met your quota yet?”
I’m for Fred, but last night he posted his brilliant thoughts, by calling Romney Slimey.
However, he failed to mention that McCain and The Huckster left the State of Michigan before the votes had even been counted. To me, thats slimey.
McCain didn’t even hang around long enough in Michigan to thank those that voted for him, for the staff and Michigan workers who worked on his behalf.
Thats Slimey, MrArmpit.
In all seriousness, I hear the same complaints about FOX not giving Fred fair treatment.
It’s nonsense. It reminds me of the whiney hometown fans who complain that the national announcers are rooting against their team in the World Series.
Except both teams fans feel the same way, which means the announcers must be doing something right to piss off everyone and be objective. Get over it. I say the same thing to my fellow Fred supporters.
FOX gave Fred 20 minutes to lead off Hannity and Colmes last week, what more do you want?
Done.
Huckabee delivers his message with vague generalities on the issues, "trust me" rhetoric when his past diverges from his promises, excuse making when called on the inconsistencies, and rationalizations that if Arkansas Democrats liked him we should too.
All that would make him unattractive, but at least no worse than your ordinary politician. But on top of all that, he layers on a nice thick coating of snide, middle-school-level barbs delivered with a plastic smile that attempts to hide the venom in his words. He whines when he is "attacked" for his record and then turns on his heels and cracks wise about "Metimucil" and Hollywood writers and hopes you ignore the fact that he just did more "personal attacking" than the man he was whining about to begin with.
In support of his low-brow campaign, he hires a political hatchet man to spread unsupported lies about the viability of his opponent and winks at illegal and unethical campaign tactics. All while trading on the support of those who naively trust that a minister MUST be trustworthy.
I've looked at how Governor Huckabbe delivers his message, and found it astoundingly wanting.
(And just so you know, I am a Southern Baptist who's so serious about his conservative Christian politics the he worked the fields for Alan Keyes in two different elections)
I am not only disgusted with the Huckabee campaign, I am actively ashamed of him when I interact with my more secular acquaintances. On the same level I was ashamed of Ted Haggard and Jimmy Swaggert and other disgraced hypocrites.
Since then, she's written some books and columns, made a lot of friends and enemies, and became wealthy. But her recent activities are inconsequential compared to her earlier work on the Paula Jones lawsuit.
Have and it scares the hell out of me. The man is lying nanny stater.
I couldn't disagree with her more on Romney, but hey, she didn't ask me. I don't like her hit job on Huckabee. But no way am I going to say she has done nothing for conservatives and is only about making herself rich. I think she has done more than many others; and as for this Romney thing, well she is entitled to be wrong for a change. It's not like the selection is all that great.
That said, I won't be reading her for a few months. This entire election cycle is a dud if you ask me.
What’s wrong with that? You seem to have a serious problem with capitalism. You find it unfair. What is your beef?
I don’t know about you,but if I was gonna marry a woman,
She should be Pretty
Be Smart
Be a Conservative government oriented person
AND BE RICH.
To answer your question, she has exposed a lot of phonies.
I agree. I REALLY wish the FredHeads would get off the “Fox is pushing X” kick....it does nothing to help us.
Populists are not conservatives,no matter how many times a day they go to church. Why dont you find a nice socialist site somehwere to pimp your Elmer Gantry pablum?
Facing which way?
“Let me pay you a compliment. As a recent arrival, I admire your courage in posting nightly vanities”
He posts these vanities, but he never responds to them under the screen name he posted it under. He then signs up under a different screenname to posts his comments. You can propably figure it out.
She makes me smile and she doesn’t support liberals like Huckabee!
If wasting bandwidth wasn't carbon neutral, Mr. Arbitrage would have to change his screen name to "Sasquatch".
This guy makes John Kerry seem affable.
And just when you thought he could get no dumber, Mike Huckabee, lifter of immigration policy, decides to steal Thompson’s campaign slogan (with an aded qualifier):
“Mike Huckabee told a crowd today he’s the candidate with consistent social conservative credentials”
http://www.kxmb.com/News/198990.asp
Ann endorsed Mitt Romney six months ago, even though she didn't use the words "I endorse"..
When I pointed out here on FR that Ann was supporting Romney, I was called a dirty liar, and other niceties.
It is really not that hard to read between the lines, based on what people say about candidates, or by what "stories" they refer to in their reporting.
Limbaugh has long been supporting Romney, based on his voice inflections, and based on what he allows callers to say, and based on the media stories he promotes and finds credible.
Hannity also has been supporting Romney for months, as have the bulk of the heavy hitter conservatives in America.
Yes, they all "like" Fred, but they see Romney as the one able to exert the energy and stamina to win the election.
Yes, and he lied about the degree also.
Yes, and he lied about the degree also.
Fred is a fine man. I will have to be dragged kicking and screaming to the voting booth to vote for Mike McRomiani. I still want Duncan Hunter to make a strong showing though.
And what have you done for the cause today, creep?
LOL!!
Gee, I kinda thought making yourself wealthy by your own labor was a rather conservative ideal. It’s not as if she were forcing people to buy them at gunpoint.
