You keep telling yourself that. I’d rather vote for pro-life Ron Paul than Romney any day.

You seem to be completely blind to Romneys flaming liberal record.

His record speaks volumes but all you hear is what you want to hear.

What he did yesterday counts 10X as much as the lip service he is giving today.

The conservative movement is so screwed because of naive folks like you.

I guess I’m mighty tired of seeing the conservative movement being destroyed right in front of me, and at a conservative website no less.

That's the point. His record of governance in Massachusetts was NOT 'flaming liberal' like all the Romney bashers keep proclaiming.

It was actually fairly conservative.

He constantly got good marks from national and state ProLife organizations for his stances on stem cell research and the RU486 abortion pill.

He got praise from many family values organizations for legislation promoting abstinence and for his refusal to allow minors to get sexual education without consent of parents.

His record of low taxes is quite exemplary, as was his fiscal disipline in keeping spending low, balancing the budget.

Aside from a few dumb pandering PC comments (I can understand why he made them even if I don't agree), Romney was a conservative struggling to survive in a VERY liberal northeastern state.

Rush would never say anything good about a RINO...

Rush understands that ALL the Republican candidates have flaws, and thus he feels compelled to promote the one who would best serve the conservative cause.

Which is why he has been so high on Romney.

Despite the flaws of Romney, he IS an outsider who would bring a fresh conservative prospective to the game.

McCain, and even FRED (love ya Fred), are part of the good 'ol boy network in Washington DC which has been the problem these past 10 years or so.

...out of the ones left Romney appears to be the best one to lead.

Subconsciously, Rush is like most conservatives.

We want a NEW, FRESH face to energize and promote the conservative cause.

McCain is not only a Republican-hater, he is part of the old boy network which has kept Washington DC so screwed up the past 10 years.

Fred, as much as I love the guy's style and solid conservative style, is ALSO part of that insider club which has made things such a mess in Washington DC.

Romney is a NEW face, a fresh perspective who can rally and bring in new voices, younger conservatives.

They ALL have flaws.

Romney has the fewest, and yet he energizes the most.

"Aside from a few dumb pandering PC comments...."

===============================

Romney panders to everyone. He is a serial panderer. He pandered to liberals and now he is pandering to conservatives and I'm not buying it. His record is there for all to see. You interpret the evidence your way as much as you want.

If someone doesn't stand for something they will fall for anything and Romneys record of pandering shows he stands for whatever happens to be convenient at the moment.

Worth repeating.
