Some argue that blacks should vote for Clinton "because her husband was good to us," he continued.
"That's not true," he thundered. "He did the same thing to us that he did to Monica Lewinsky."

Ouch! That’s going to leave a mark!
“That’s not true,” he thundered. “He did the same thing to us that he did to Monica Lewinsky.”
that just doesn’t sound right...
He wielded a cigar against the black community??
Good find. But he wouldn’t call himself a priest; he’s a minister.
Fine cigars to all black folks?
Clinton USED Monica as a SEX TOY and “almost” receptacle.....a White House sink won on that one.
Americans won’t swallow these lies anymore. This time, they bit off more than they can chew! No more paying lip service to civility now.
Can’t wait to hear Bill’s response to that one.
Yikes!
Wouldn’t it be nice if someday they woke up and saw that?
I guess it would be too much to hope for.
Ditto, Ditto
AH! Another entitlement program.....
“Obama priest” is right, of course. I do wonder, however, if he would still be saying it if Obama wasn’t running for president.
L.O.L.!....Here comes Bubba!
That’s rather unusual for one black leader to criticize another black leader.
He got fat and started designing purses?
He sodomized them with a cigar?
How then, can he say that he identifies with American blacks? He apparently knows little of black culture other than what he's been told.
Indonesia? Good grief.
That funny, I thought all black men were supposed to be called 'Reverend' as soon as they get involved in politics. Aren't they all self-ordained Reverends? (when I see a black man on the news, I automatically assume that he is a Reverend...maybe I'm wrong, some of them are ministers.)
Americans wont swallow these lies anymore. This time, they bit off more than they can chew! No more paying lip service to civility now

Now this is a triple double
Obama's Friend, Pastor, and Mentor Needs to Apologize
Barack Obama needs to stand up, be a man, and take responsibility for a change. He can't blame this incident away on a junior staffer. Barack Obama needs to take a break from comparing himself to Abe Lincoln, JFK, RFK, MLK, and Ronald Reagan, and disavow the comments made by his friend, mentor, and pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright.
Wright, in a move similar to Bob Johnson (who issued a written apology to Barack Obama and his family), dredged up an ugly past to attack a Democratic candidate, and her husband.
Per the Baltimore Sun, Wright, while preaching in his Church, said:
"Some argue that blacks should vote for Clinton "because her husband was good to us," he continued.
"That's not true," he thundered. "He did the same thing to us that he did to Monica Lewinsky."
First, there is no place for this in a Church. Secondly, I don't think there are many who would argue that Bill Clinton did to black people what he did to Monica (whatever that may be, use your dirty mind).
Obama has NOT disavowed these remarks. Instead he offers:
"Like a member of my own family, there are things he says at times with which I deeply disagree," he said. "But as he prepares to retire, that doesn't detract from my affection for Reverend Wright or appreciation for the good works he has done."

Well, he did offer Monica a cigar............
It left a bad tase in their mouth the last time
This time, they bit off more than they can chew!
They just can't handle anymore
No more paying lip service to civility now.
Of course the Republican Party pretty much used the black vote then the same as the democrat party does today. The only difference is that the R’s accomplished at least two things, emancipation (two amendments to the constitution) and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Go figure.
This is all overblown
Reverend is the title, and Rev. is the religious equivalent of Mr. Sometimes it’s used colloquially when people speak about “the Reverend” without using the last name.
Priest is generally restricted to Catholics, Anglicans, or occasionally Lutherans, I think. But most Protestants would use Minister or Pastor or Preacher or the like.
A fair number of black politicians either used to be ministers of a church of some kind, or else just use it (I suspect) as a device to cut their income taxes.
LBJ was President then.
VIDEO. We need VIDEO (or audio) of this statement.
That’s a good idea.
Do a search for it, and ping us when you find it!
Unfortunately, if they do wake up this election, it won't make them consider the Republican candidate, just Obama, which is this minister's whole goal. They're just shifting from one plantation to another.
You don’t say.

He's a Reverennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd.
That being said, You GO, Rev!
My finding were that the term Reverend (obviously and I will not insult anyone by pointing out that it derives from Revere {Etymology: Latin revereri, from re- + vereri to fear, respect - synonyms revere reverence venerate worship adore mean to honor and admire profoundly and respectfully)
The obvious term for Reverend is ‘respect me’ or ‘I am an important person’. The religious aspects of reverend seem to come from around the time of the Hapsburg dynasty when ‘importance’ was necessarily intertwined with religion. In summary, Reverend was a term used to describe an important person to the Church whom had obtained secular affluence. This was a term for a rich person and supporter of the Church, which at that time would have been the Catholic church.
In summary, it meant a person, either Lord or layman, who supported the Church and was involved in the dispensation of the Church. However, ‘reverend’ could be equally apply to any revered person. (I think.) The exact precise definition of ‘reverend’ is elusive.
In our PC media, you could introduce yourself as 'Reverend Sheik Bishop of the world' and especially if you are what the whites erroneously call a 'minority' the media will never check anything. In this case, checking up on the 'truth' or reality could be considered 'racist'.
LOL. “You might wanna put some ice on that.”
Bear in mind, the “Priest” is part of the title from blackvoices.com.
Yep, he ain’t a priest, and certainly ain’t reverent!

Quit blowing this Presidential issue out of proportion. You could sink their campaign with words like that. Oral testimony like that can fell a truth or two. What a shame.
LBJ was a Democrat, not a Republican which you said helped the blacks with that amendment.
