There are public opinion polls, the increasing viability of pro-life candidates for political office, and the widespread support for the recent Supreme Court’s upholding of the partial birth abortion ban.

Public opinion polls say whatever the pollster (or sponsor thereof) wants to say.

the increasing viability of pro-life candidates for political office,

This is a more meaningful measure.

Hmmm .... There's a presidential election going on.

The 'RATS are all proabortion.

The two most realiably prolife Republican candidates have dropped out. (Yes, I blame the MSM and their all horserace all the time, issues-free coverage for some of that.)

Of the remainder ... Giuliani doesn't strike me as being a prolife candidate, nor Romney. That leaves Huckabee and McCain ... We'll see how viable they are.

Oh, yes ... Ron Paul is reliably prolife.

Another example is that in 2004, John Kerry had to repeatedly try to defuse hostility to his pro-abort stances. The fact that he applied a pro-Roe vs. Wade litmus test to judicial nominees definitely damaged his viability. His attempts to soft-pedal the issue (which can be seen in transcripts of the Presidential debates) show that being pro-abort is not the asset that it was 20 years ago.

What I want to know is, did they do anything useful

No, it's all an allusion.

A CGI thingie.

All they really did was sit at their computers and complain about people not doing anything useful.

Gianna Jessen is a treasure. Her speech was broadcast on EWTN, and had me so worked up emotionally....she was amazing. She thanks God every day for the gift of life, and what she calls the “gift of cerebral palsy,” but the honest truth is that she is God’s gift to all of us.

“I’ve noticed that everybody that is for abortion has already been born.” — Ronald Reagan

Funny how that works, isn't it?

Just like everyone who was/is pro-slavery is free.
