Local reports have said what a bust early voting has turned into. Costs way to much for the lack of interest. Absentee voting is what they are thinking of offering in place of early voting.

The big difference in Illinois is that absentee ballots remain in the envelopes, while an early voting ballot is more available for "correction" if a government employee is so inclined. Expect to see early voting stay in place.

Yes, I heard his mother was battling pneumonia and Fred went to see her. I send my prayers to her.

People forget, or never were informed to begin with. We should remember that.

Most important to keep in mind, IMHO.

Open primaries would be the equivalent of allowing players from other teams to vote for their opponents’ captains.

These “open primaries” help McCain a lot.

Significantly, because he gets allot of Dem cross-overs and Independents.

IIRC, SC was one of the last open-primaries. Those coming are more restrictive, so McCain could lose his luster.

McCain's (38) and Huckabee's (26) pledged delegate count combined (64) is still less than what Romney (66) has. Media aren't advertising that fact. Neither are they advertising that, per CNN's current count, Obama (38) is slightly ahead of Clinton (36).

G’day All!

Let us remember, this Day of Rest...

Some who are indeed Conservatives need to stay in the game and keep prayerfully slogging on and not be dismayed and sidelined.

Some who THINK they are Conservatives aren’t; the U.S. Constitution DEFINES Conservatism. Please prayerfully rethink your positions.

Beyond that, there are many who are in America while America is not in them and they are definitely voting, early, often and Liberal. Please prayerfully stand against these threats.

I agree.

I’m trying to keep some perspective- but when South Carolina votes for McCain and Huckabee- it’s a clear sign that conservatives have no leadership.

Thanks for that tid-bit Anita; FNC is deader than I thought it was. There was a time when we had hope the others would follow FNC, but given all their liberal hires, from the top down, I repeat my comment from above; fox is the follower not the leader we had hoped for.

So it goes.

Thanks anita. Great stuff as usual. The wife had the TV on last night and some DBM reporter - I think he is retired - and he made a gleeful comment to the effect of:

“Romney should have won the Nevada Republican caucuses with much more than a little over 50%, since he was basically running unopposed.”

I wonder if he reported the same thing with such glee when (she who must not be mentioned) won Michigan running unopposed. 45% voted for “someone else” instead of canckles.

John Meacham pronounces the Reagan coalition to be at an end on MTP.

We’ll see about that.
