ESPN anchor Dana Jacobson made an absolute fool of herself, swilling vodka from a Belvedere bottle, mumbling along and cursing like a sailor as Mike & Mike rested their heads in their hands in embarrassment. [Comedian Eddie] Griffin came to the podium to defend her after she was booed by the crowd. [Host Jeffrey] Ross eventually had to pull her off stage, too.
For those unfamiliar with Jacobson, she was a "SportsCenter" anchor for ESPN in 2005, and later made a co-host of that network's morning show "Cold Pizza" which is now "ESPN First Take."
So, what did she actually say? According to the website Deadspin:
f... Notre dame" "f....touchdown Jesus" and - the step-aside-because-lightning-is-about-to-strike... "f.... Jesus."
Did her head also swivel back 180 degrees?
If she had spoken abusively toward Blacks or Hispanics, she’d be out of a job.
Since she only bashed Jesus, the incident will probably serve as a resume enhancement.
Good to know that she can handle her booze.
Get the noose.
Nothing like unlady-like pigs.
I watch First Take every morning. This is a shock that she would go down this road.
Was she auditioning for a place on “The View”?
She wouldn’t be bad looking if she lost about 25 pounds.
What did Jesus ever do to her, other than die for her sins?
She has always reminded me of that girl that you took home after a bit too much drinking at a college party.
Yikes!!!! (painful flashbacks)
“What did Jesus ever do to her, other than die for her sins?”
I doubt she really cares. I think she’s Jewish.
Ain’t that the truth?
I'm sure I've seen some of her stuff on dailycuss.
Maybe she got here tit in a noose?
She’s mearly trying to advance her career as rapidly as she knows how.
You mean that girl that puked in your new car?
She wants to be a guy, So Bad!
She is Jewish, so it’s possible this might break the unwritten PC rule about who can insult who without consequences.
Looks like a sports dyke to me.
If you are not too busy this afternoon, you can send your thoughts to the ESPN Ombudsman:

It’s somewhat interesting this piece of bad behavior is attracting such interest even though she is skank while the revelation of the existence of the Koran documents is already yesterday’s news.
Well, then, there's that not-so-small matter of Jesus being a Jew ...
Probably not politically correct to call folks of her heritage that.
And what did the so-called “Christians” do after her blasphemy? Booing wasn’t enough. They should have got up and left, perhaps singing “Stand up, Stand up for Jesus” on the way out.
“It is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.” Romans 10:10.
Interesting how this guy just kind of glossed over it.

So this event took place back on the 11th. Apparently, ESPN was hoping the story wouldn’t get any legs, but it’s starting to smolder.
Well, there’s the f... Notre Dame thing as well.
It would be like Boomer Esiason getting drunk at some function and shouting, “f... Brandeis University and f... Moses”
Again, since the PC rules are unwritten, it’s hard to tell who’s allowed to say what about whom and when.
Not to worry she be down on her knees in no time!!
Funny!!!!!
‘’If you’re not too busy’’??? That’s exactly why bashing or blaspheming Christ will never be as politically incorrect as encouraging a homosexual to repent his/her lifestyle. Most of you whom are Christians realllllly don’t care THAT much to get out of your little comfort zones, organize, and take a stand. That’s one reason you’re losing your culture, little by little.... Don’t blame ESPN if they don’t take the action that was taken against Imus....look to see if ‘’you were too busy’’.
I’ve heard that Notre Dame is one of her alma mater’s rivals...may explain much of her animosity.
Well, not to defend an uncivilized drunk but it’s Notre Dame that talks about Touchdown Jesus and the like, so if someone who went to Michigan says F their rival and it’s self-created admixture of religion and football, then I can see her going to that next.
A mistake? Certainly, but not something I’d spend a lot of time dissecting or thinking it was even a bash of Christianity.
If she had instead said something about Ohio State or the like, she’d not have mentioned Jesus, I’m pretty sure.
Lucky she didn’t say anything real offensive like that Donovan McNabb might be overrated or something.
That’s indeed all it is. This is nothing more than the usual tiring attempts to make enemies out of everyone in the world because they don’t toe a verbal line.
Look, people from Michigan hate Notre Dame. Notre Dame is the school with Touchdown Jesus.
This was not an ‘Anti-Jesus’ rant, it was an anti-Notre Dame rant that she took too far in her stupid, liquor-besotted state.
Dana Jacobson—you’ve come a long way, baby...you’ve made it from the gutter to the curb.
Mike Golic, one of the honorees at the roast, was a player at Notre Dame, and she’s a Michigan alum, and Michigan has faced ND over 30 times already.
The biggest unwritten rule always remaining the same: Heads we win, tails you lose. And you can't look at the coin.
Some people have some major God issues in this country... speaking of God, I gotsa go down to the church house. Peace.
I’m waiting for the ESPN statement which begins, “If I may have offended anybody...”
You’re right- she’s basically covered on “F... Notre Dame” and “f... touchdown Jesus”. However, the “f... Jesus” thing might be construed as a bit over the top. Put ‘em all together, and a reasonable man could take it as an anti-Catholic or anti-Christian remark- or, at the very least, a PC insensitive comment where, according to the unwritten rules, one has to publicly apologize and flagellate themselves.
I love sports but I can't stomach the vast majority of their on-air talkingheads, and former clowns like "Keith Overbite, Countdown to No Ratings".
I agree that the first two comments were due to her Michigan ties and it was a roast of Golic, however that doesn’t excuse the third line. The first to lines were crass, but third line had nothing to do with Golic.
Here's wishing sobriety on her. Help is available, she should get some.
