The leftists continually tell us that we spend too much on health care. We are told that we spend much more than single payer systems in Canada, Britain and other countries. The left is correct that we will spend less on health if we adopt a single payer system. However, they omit the inconvenient truth that we will receive far less health care under a single payer system. It is easy to control the spending, just set a budget and pay the budgeted amount. The left thinks that they can force the health care industry to provide the same level (or even higher levels) of health care when health care reimbursement is capped. We will have a terrible situation, much worse than other countries experience with socialized medicine. We will descend into a health care hell if the rats force a single payer system down our throats.
