There it is in a nutshell. His parents abdicated the responsibility to instill in him a moral code... his parents were muslims, living in a muslim country. Where was the moral code to which you refer supposed to come from?

I have read that the female homicide bombers are women who are either accused of some sin or who have some disfigurement that will keep them from marrying. They are manipulated into the bombing in order to either atone for the sin or to see death as preferable to spinsterhood. The manipulation is done by young men who first offer friendship (perhaps romance?) to the women, who are unused to this from males.
I find the entire culture to be sinister.
That’s terrible.
It’s just plain EVIL.

I was born in Cairo to a secular Muslim family. My father was an orthopedic surgeon and an agnostic at heart; my mother was a French teacher and a liberal. Both considered Islam to be, primarily, an integral part of our culture. With the exception of my father, we would fast on Ramadan. Even though my father was not religious, he understood our need to fit into the community and never forced his secular views on us. He espoused diverse philosophical ideas but encouraged us to follow our own convictions. Most importantly, he taught my brother and me to think critically rather than to learn by rote. I never had any doubt, however, that we were Muslim - that Allah was our creator, Muhammad his messenger and the Koran our book. I see no reference to any 'moral code' in that paragraph.

And you have a nice evening yourself.

I read someplace that a woman’s sacrifice gains her male family members a place in Paradise, so nothing for her personally, but her husband, father and brothers get the virgins or as we now are discovering the white raisins.

It’s hard to imagine that any female where dirt has a higher status then they do would sacrifice anything for these monsters. Maybe I’m missing something ... .

My personal theory is that they are given a choice between "honor killing" or "suicide bombing", with the honor killing guaranteed to be slow and painful

Without taking the time to count, I assume that we all know the precise number of those virgins.
You're funny.

If so, then what is the incentive for females to blow themselves up? To get away from the vile, murdering, mutilating men who believe that crap.
