I'm not that confident that one would. However, unless Fred Thompson rises from the dead, the primaries aren't going to give us one. Currently conservatives are holding an unsuited, 7-high hand, why not hope for a re-deal? We have absolutely nothing to lose.

Rudy may be a newfound FisCon, but he’s still liberal on too many issues to take him seriously. Even as a FisCon, he’s a new convert. On the war, he’s a guy with newfound tough rhetoric and a history of dodging his country’s call to defend itself. The man protested more U.S. wars than half of the elected Democrats. He opposed the surge until the White House finally endorsed it, and he’s never even visited the troops in Iraq - EVER!
The man filed more lawsuits against Conservative organizations and to thwart Conservative legislation than the ACLU. He appointed more Liberal judges than Jimmy Carter.
Now imagine him with his own Justice Department - Dear GOD don’t let it happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He was one of the most fervent enemies of the Pro-Life movement ever elected anywhere. And he was and is a fierce advocate of Gun Control and the normalization of gay culture in America.

However, If McCain is not your “cup of tea”, then may I recommend Romney as an alternative. Romney has a good at taking Florida and the nomination. I could live with Romney.

Perhaps if you read my post more carefully, you would note that I wasn't confident that a conservative would result from a brokered convention but that we have nothing to lose. It's hard to imagine how we could get anyone less conservative than what the primaries will give us.
