Well, the AP has done it again. They have given us leftist propaganda and painted it as news. This time they have published the results of a "study" that claims that "Bush lied" in the run up to the actions in Iraq and somehow the AP forgot to mention that the organization that released this study was funded by the extreme leftist George Soros who has spent billions funding the Democrat Party and many far left think tank and advocacy organizations. Yeah, THAT study is going to be legitimate!
This one may as well have been just a reprint of the press release of the Soros funded Center for Public Integrity, but the AP dressed it up as an actual story written by Douglass K. Daniel. Headlined "Study: False statements preceded war," the AP reveals how, "A study by two nonprofit journalism organizations found that President Bush and top administration officials issued hundreds of false statements about the national security threat from Iraq in the two years following the 2001 terrorist attacks."

I just thank the lord that John McCain got the money out of politics.
I don’t think anybody here was inclined to take that seriously, but the fact that Soros is behind it definitely crushes its credibility!
The press as usual stinks and sucks.
Better than bitching for another 30 years running.
Exactly
Giggle
Did you mean "Now" instead of "Not" maybe?
What? And take all the fun out of having someone to demonize when things are going well? We need to have a bitch and moan factor!
This AP story should have been labeled a press release. Thats what it amounts to.
A study by two nonprofit journalism organizations found that President Bush and top administration officials issued hundreds of false statements about the national security threat from Iraq in the two years following the 2001 terrorist attacks.
The study concluded that the statements were part of an orchestrated campaign that effectively galvanized public opinion and, in the process, led the nation to war under decidedly false pretenses.
The study was posted Tuesday on the Web site of the Center for Public Integrity, which worked with the Fund for Independence in Journalism.
This late in the war, Im not even sure why anyone would bother trotting out the Bush LIED, people DIED line. If you havent bought it by now, youre not likely to, and if you already buy it, you already buy it. I suppose seeing it in print one more time could be your Daily Affirmation that were living in Bushreichs Amerikkka.
In any case, by stopping the research at 2001, the story is set-up to misreport the facts. The Clinton administration spent years warning the public of the threat of Saddam and his WMD. They even bombed a pharma factory in Sudan on the suspicion that it was making WMD for both al Qaeda and Iraq. So the story either unintentionally or by design left out years of context. Whatever the motivation, its clear that the reporter, Douglas K. Daniel, paid no attention to the man behind the curtain. The Center for Public Integrity is one of many George Soros fronts. Soros pays the bills and his minions, whether they happen to work at the CPI or the Center for American Progress or Media Matters or wherever, dance to his tune. And Soros has made it his lifes work to bring down the Bush administration. He says its the central focus of my life. Do you think people paid to to research by a man with that stated mission are likely to deliver unbiased findings?
Douglas K. Daniel either doesnt know this or didnt do his due diligence and report the full facts to his readers. Whatever the underlying issues are with his reporting, its dishonest to pass off press releases as journalism. He earns a fail.
Don’t forget the Heinz Endowment
Too bad Clinton never lied.....Oh wait a minute, he got busted for lying (perjury)!
Bush wasn’t present in 1998 when Clinton started the Iraq War.
Yep. See the two earlier FR threads posted earlier. The bottom one sayd it was funded by Sorry@$$.
Study: False statements preceded war (Liberal can't let it go alert)
I visited my father-in-law a few weeks ago. He’s a “yellow dog democrat”. He started telling me about how Dick Chaney controls the price of crude oil so he can make himself and George Bush rich. I didn’t know how to respond. I couldn’t believe that anyone could be so gullible. These folks don’t ask for any facts or proof, they just repeat any absurd story that someone tells them.

Oh I am sure by day’s end McCain will set that record straight. /s
I think the meaning of "Not" here is that the AP didn't disclose the partisan nature of the supposedly independent groups who did this 'study'.
CBS pounded this story all morning. Pity they didn’t do a little digging.
