Ann is just being a realist.

A realist is someone who:

1. Has been fooled (therefore is a fool) or
2. Lacks any core convictions, or
3. Is willing to compromise on their core convictions (therefore #2 applies)

Unfortunately that's what it takes to support Mitt Romney (or Huckabee, McCain, or Guiliani) when there were REAL conservative alternatives (Thompson and Hunter).

(I gave Ann Coulter opportunity to respond to this on her own before I made this public. She did not do so. )

Ann Coulter incorrectly stated in her Jan 16, 2008 column that the Massachusetts Citizens For Life “endorsed” Mitt Romney. She has used their endorsement as part of her own basis for her endorsement of Romney. MCFL denies any such endorsement.

My inquiry to them, and thir subsequent response are pasted below.

Hello Private Name Omitted Here,

I apologize for the delay in replying to your email!

Ms. Coutler’s choice of wording in her column was somewhat inaccurate in describing the relationship between MCFL and Mitt Romney. As a tax-exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, MCFL cannot “endorse” candidates for public office. Most likely Ms. Coulter was referring to the award Gov. Romney received from the Pioneer Valley Chapter of MCFL, which was given to him at the chapter’s annual Mother’s Day dinner last May.

MCFL strives to collect and disseminate information regarding the voting records and public statements of candidates for public office before elections in order to help our members make an informed choice when voting. We are continually monitoring the statements of the current presidential candidates and informing our membership as much as we can.

Currently, of the major Republican candidates still in the race at this point, only Rudy Giuliani has expressed explicit pro-choice views. Mike Huckabee, Mitt Romney and John McCain all support the overturning of Roe v. Wade.

As the election draws closer, please continue to check back with us for the most recent information available.

Thanks for contacting us!

~MJE~

"when there were REAL conservative alternatives"

She did support Hunter until he got cold feet, and turned against us.

Oh yeah. I know men like long stringy hair but we women aren’t always so crazy about it. I think she does it to stay young looking but it isn’t always working.

The reason that she looks older is she has lost too much weight. Loosing weight always makes women appear to age rapidly.

The hair looks great

I know men like long hair but there does come a time in a woman’s life when she needs to stop trying to be a teenager. She’s very attractive otherwise.

I voted for him because I thought McCain needed to be derailed.

Most in the nation haven't had a chance to vote yet. How many names listed in the voter pamphlet are no longer running? And how much ink was wasted by printing them so early?

There's something wrong with a primary system where Dems, Indies, and the media can manipulate the choices early-on.

And, of course, idiots like you are mind-numbed robots and follow right along with any propaganda the "new" media gives you.

Let me take a wild guess. Ron Paul is the savior of the universe huh? I'll take the new media over McLame's drive-bys any day of the week.

She is for Romney, Syncro.

No, she believes he is the best candidate out there. She was FOR Hunter.

You are pretty brave posting Coulter’s columns here.

Yes, but it is a good thing. To allow others views with out attacking the messinger is the best way to do it.

It's about not being afraid of others views which may differ from person to person.

I think it is best to post all the information available about each candidate, so it can be debated with reasoned discourse.

I found out on last weeks Coulter column that you don't like that method

You have never posted to any of my comments on Romney where I post facts about him.

Instead you come on an unrelated thread and say that I hate him.

I post back to you explaining how you are wrong about that and you don't answer, but continue to post the most despicable things to me another threads.

I am sorry you are apparently so bitter that you have to make personal attacks instead of debating.

I noticed your glee at discovering that Huckabee's son mistreated a dog and your posting about it here at FR to discredit Huckabee.

But a lot of your fellow Mitt supporters use the same tactics.

I wish you the best of luck supporting your candidate by lying and making personal attacks on others instead of debating the issues.

My best to Lager.
