Still doesn't the address the question of how a US government funded study has anything whatsoever to do with the question of the employee's religious beliefs.

The US government is simply not empowered by the US Constitution to make such inquiries, and when it passes along the federal dollar (my money BTW), it does not thereby pass along the authority for the recipient to begin making religious inquiries.

It's pretty obvious Dr. Hahn is very little different than the sort you'd find running a "confessional" during the Spanish Inquisition.

Such people are not qualified to handle federal money (my money).

He took an evolutionary biology job and then announced he doesn’t do evolution.

That reminds me of the Muslim who sued the grocery store for discrimination because he was fired for refusing to check out pork products.

Was he discriminated against for being a Muslim or did he take a job knowing he could not fulfill the requirements?
