I totally agree with you about Romney getting the “high seat” in the Mormon Church.
Who was the Scotus justice(?) or Attorney general — something like that — who went on to be the Mormon Pope?
I'm sure you know my position on this, I couldn't agree more.
I am willing to accept Hunter's judgement and I don't think he would be easily fooled by hollow rhetoric.
Mr. Romney looks no more or less professional than the other candidates.
Ezra Taft Benson.
Where did you get the Idea that ministry precluded either political action, or working a job for financial support? I seem to recall a guy who traveled around the the Mediterranean making tents and preaching. Got into it with the Roman government. Fellow by the name of Paul. Ever hear of him?
We only have 2 candidates left with any chance, McCain and Romney. If one gets more than the other, no brokered convention, and we’re screwed either way.
Article VI and the 1st Amendment. Government is not the place for religion.
Huckabees band has performed twice at inaugural events sponsored by FreeRepublic.com, a right-wing forum known for its extreme views. After 2001s Count the White House Silverware Party, Huckabee posted a message on the forum calling himself a confirmed and proud Freeper.
Coming from the Marxist scum at People For The Communist Way, I take that as a HUGH compliment! And I'm SERIES.
Actually the Huckabee campaign has now admitted that his tax increases were not related to any "court ordered mandate" -- this was just another example of his problems with telling the truth.
“court ordered mandate”
And who appointed the judges on that court? Huckabee.

Brother Maynard, zotteth this heathen scribe with the Holy Hand-grenade of Antioch!
1, 2—5!
You have a link for that?

So your interpretation of free exercise and establishment is that religious people are barred from office? Not that government can't tell anybody what if any religion to have?. Are you sure you are on the correct site?
Government is not the place for religion.

Government cannot establish a religion or prevent the free exercise of religion. That doesn’t mean religious people can’t run for office. Regarding Article VI — “but no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States” also doesn’t mean that religious people can’t run for office.
I guess you had to be there.

Huckabee doesn’t and won’t get the public’s trust no matter how much you want him to. Not only that but then you add in his “The Constitution is a living breathing document” statement and that he wants to add in certain religious clauses. Nobody except the religious nutcases and ultra-rightwingers are going to give him support.
If you are using Hunters endorsement of Huckabee as grounds thaat he is conservative I think that it is a ploy of Hunter to lash back at the base.
Unless he kills the current Prophet and Twelve apostles and takes the leadership.....it doesn’t work that way.
