Living in the DC area, Chris Matthews has surely been stuck in traffic more than once behind someone sporting the classic NRA bumper sticker: "If Guns Are Outlawed, Only Outlaws Will Have Guns." Was Chris was listening too intently to NPR to consider the the truth of that pithy aphorism? You might think so, considering his anti-gun rant that seemed to assume that criminals, rather than law-abiding citizens, will obey restrictions on gun ownership.
On this evening's Hardball, riffing off Mitt Romney's Second Amendment defense during last night's GOP debate, Chris took aim at National Review's Deroy Murdock, a Giuliani backer.

I watched some of the debate last night, and so the channel was still there, even though I did have trouble finding that station before the debate because I had never used it before.
Hardball was on.
OMG, Chris Matthews is still an A$$hole unlike I remembered him from other shows. I watched him for less than 10 minutes.
The man is simply worthless, not to mention delusional.
Speaking of bellicose, Chrissie sorta reminds me of the loud mouthed Irish kid that used to frequent the school yard. He just couldn’t keep his mouth shut. He eventually had his clock cleaned by some one who had enough of him. (Philly...) Although he has nothing to fear from me, it seems that Chrissie has never had such a baptism.
Yeah, I was watching when that Commu-nazi said he thinks that Americans should all be disarmed, so that we are all unable to be anything other than defenseless victims. Like he and all the “political elite” Demodeath freaks want us to be.
Like Hitler did, like Stalin did, like every dictator through history has done...disarm the people.
Hey Crap Matthews, You wanna know what NY would be like if everybody was armed? I’ll tell you! It would be loud and messy to begin with...but then, it would become one of the safest and most polite cities, on the face of the planet.
People would be able to walk in Central park, at 2AM and feel safe.
If these LIEberals get their way, only the army and police will have firearms and America will become a totalitarian fascist state like all those other countries that have implemented gun control.
Difference between liberals and conservatives on 2nd Amendment:
Matthews: “I want people disarmed.”
Me: “I want criminals disarmed.”
What’s missed is the criminals causing all society’s problems vote hypocrat! And many if not most HYPOCRATS are criminals!
Chrissy's very confused. Disarming citizens and thinking we should not all be armed are two different things entirely. The former is both unconstitutional and dictatorial. Regarding the latter, I don't want to see everyone armed either -- liberals and criminals, for instance. ...but I repeat myself.

It is going to come down to either a civil war or slavery.
The other side is not going to stop until they are stopped.
Each individual is going have to make this choice: Would you prefer to live on your knees as a slave or die as a free man/woman?
In my opinion, too many individuals in this Nation have indicated that living on their knees as a government slave is o.k. with them.
Matthews wants to disarm the public because he sees everyone else as having his hair-trigger temper and lack of self-control.
If Chris Matthews carried a sidearm, he would be in jail for murder. If he behaves like he does on TV, imagine the out of control jerk he is behind the wheel. Imagine him in a grocery line behind an old woman writing a check.
