Clinton and Obama Campaigns Accuse Each Other of Voter Intimidation and Election Misconduct

[Obama campaign] "These reports suggest the possibility of activity conducted in violation of Party rules and the rights of voters—activity that, as the volume and distribution of those complaints indicate, may have been planned and coordinated with the willful intention to distort the process in the favor of one candidate, Senator Clinton. A sheet of instructions provided by the Clinton campaign to its precinct works captures its program for the Caucus: “It’s not illegal unless they [the temporary precinct chairs] tell you so.” (See attachment). This certainly suggests that, for the Clinton campaign, the operative standard of conduct was, simply and only, what it could get away with."

[Clinton campaign] "a premeditated and predesigned plan by the Obama campaign to engage in systematic corruption of the Party’s caucus procedures. Compounding this blatant distortion of the caucus rules was an egregious effort by the Obama campaign to manipulate the voter registration process in its own favor, thereby disenfranchising countless voters. Finally, the Committee has received a vast number of reliable reports of voter suppression and intimidation by the Obama campaign or its allies."

The linked Web page contains the complete texts of the complaints that the Obama and Clinton campaigns filed with the Nevada Democratic Party. The accusations are extremely serious, and they reflect on the fitness of both candidates to hold any position of public trust or responsibility.

Clinton and Obama have accused each other of conduct every bit as bad as the Democrats alleged in 2000 (hanging chads, butterfly ballots, and so on) or even worse: interfering with the right of people to vote. This conduct is suitable for Third World banana republic dictators as opposed to candidates for President of the United States (or indeed any position of public trust and responsibility in this country), and it is important for us to circulate this information as widely as possible. Note also that Democrats can't write this off as coming from Republicans, because it comes straight from their two front-runners. Was it Krushchev or Lenin who said something about selling shovels to one's adversaries?

I love it. Because they’re going to wear out the Diebold/voter fraud meme on each other till it’s too threadbare to use on the Republican in the general.

I’d pay good money to hear Obama just flat-out call the ‘toons a couple of racists.

It’s not an attack if it’s true.

Standard Clintonian tactic from page 1 of the playbook. Accuse your opponent of doing what it is that you are actually guilty of doing.

I’m sure the Clintons are screaming loudly about Obama as they continue to use strong-arm tactics to get votes.

BJ is a disgrace. He is the first former President in my lifetime to have continued to sully the office after his term expired. I don’t remember Truman, Ike, LBJ, Ford, Reagan, Bush, or even Nixon acting like this. Carter has been a borderline nitwit in recent years, but he can’t compare to BJ.

Remember, this material won't do Clinton or Obama any harm if it stays at Free Republic. Take it to your Web sites, blogs, and letters to the editor.

(I should really re-do this for "Clinton and Obama election misconduct accusations," but I think people get the general idea.)

BINGO! That’s the difference. Obama’s telling the truth; the Clinton’s don’t even know the definition of the word.
