FReep 145 - January 25, 2008 - The Moonbats Get an Earful
January 27, 2008 | Tom the Redhunter

Posted on 01/27/2008 5:35:24 PM PST by Tom the Redhunter

You'd think that sooner or later the communists of Code Pink would get the message - you're not wanted around here.

Apparently, though, thick-headedness is a strong trait among moonbats.

Let me be clear: When I say that they're not wanted, I'm not so much talking about myself and my fellow FReepers, I'm talking about by the troops.

I've been coming to Walter Reed to participitate in these FReeps for almost two and a half years now, and time and again troops come out of the hospital and go down to tell the Pinkos that they're not wanted and would they please leave. Asked to take their protest to the White House or Capitol. At the least please take it to the other side of the street!

Mind you, many of these troopers are bearing wounds from recent combat. Some are still quite mobile, but others can only walk with the assistance of a cane or something. Decent people would respect their wish and do as they are asked.

But Code Pink isn't decent.

Just to show how far gone these people are, they're now advocating breaking the law.. Don't believe me, go to their website and read it for yourself:

JOIN ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND TAXPAYERS!

Over the past year, citizens have voted, lobbied, marched, and taken direct action to end the war in Iraq. Courageous soldiers have refused to fight the war. But Congress has appropriated billions of dollars to continue the war and appears ready to authorize a future military attack on Iran. It’s time for taxpayers who oppose this war to join together in nonviolent civil disobedience and show Congress how to cut off the funds for this war and redirect resources to the pressing needs of people. There is a great tradition of war tax resistance in the United States. When our political leaders have not listened to the will of the people, individuals have engaged in civil disobedience.

Pledge to Resist Paying Taxes: And urge others to take it as well. If we enlist over 100,000 pledge-takers by April 5th, we will engage in a mass action of civil disobedience on April 15, 2008 by withholding a portion of our taxes that pay for the war in Iraq.

They've even got a stupid pledge that they want people to sign. Here's a portion:

When I am joined by 100,000 other U.S. taxpayers, I will join in an act of mass civil disobedience and refuse to pay the portion of my taxes that represents the % we spend on the U.S. military occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan....

...I have the x% of my taxes but am withholding it until there is a plan being fully executed to bring home our troops, to close the permanent bases in Iraq and funds given to the Iraqi people to rebuild their country and to reimburse them for the damages we have besieged them with....

Can we question their patriotism now?

Notice the weasel words in the pledge: "When I am joined by 100,000 other U.S. taxpayers". Does this mean that if 100,000 don't sign up - as surely they won't - pledgers don't have to go through with it? That does seem the plain meaning of the text.

If history is any guide they'll chicken out.. A few years ago they were planning a trip to Cuba to celebrate New Years. The trip was scheduled for December 27-January 2, 2006 The Feds got wind of it, and as it is illegal for Americans to travel to Cuba, they sent warning letters to Code Pink. The next thing you know they cancelled their trip.

Part of me though wishes that they do go through with it. The IRS is one of the most ruthless Federal agencies we have, and my guess is they'd throw the book at any Pinko who didn't pay up. You do not want to mess with those people.

Back to the FReep

Apologies for ruining your dinner with the extended discussion of Code Pink, but we to remind ourselves of just who these people are.

As I was saying, I can't count the times when one or more troopers have come out of Walter Reed, stopped by our group, and then gone down to argue with the Pinkos. Well, this FReep was no exception. One solder gave them an earfull for quite a while. He's the one to right in the white jacket and cap

Photobucket

One of the Pinkos that the trooper argued with was the infamous Kevin "Maimed for a Lie" McCarron. Kevin's the one with the American flag.

Here's another

Photobucket

For those not familiar with the history of this FReep, in the beginning the Pinkos carried all sorts of offensive signs. It was all the usual stupid stuff you see at the big "anti-war" protests. By exposing them we shamed them into giving up those signs. Their usual fare nowadays is along the lines of "Support the Troops/Hate the War" and "Money For Wounded Not War".

This trooper was simply asking them to move to the other side of the street, away from the hospital. This they refused to do. We spoke with him later and he also told us that he was very offended by their "Love the Soldiers/Hate the War" sign. "It invalidates what we were doing" he said.

Thank you for all you do for our troops, and our country. And many thanks for the reports and pictures so those of us who are on the west coast can keep up. BTW, I love both the M.O.A.B. and the bus with our returning wounded heros, and am always glad to see them in the pictures. God bless you all; we pray for the safety of our troops and for the success of their mission.

BTW, I forgot to mention that I enjoyed the “gross” FReep report, and, knowing that a gross is a dozen dozen, thought it a very funny title.

well said. that's why we FReepers usually call them: Code PinkO.

some of their deluded members are NOT "pink". instead they tend to a bright shade of "RED".

absolutely wonderful thread/post Tom. Thank you so much for not only being there but presenting a great review of the FReep.

NOW.. re: Pats vs Giants. I don’t dislike the Pats. but I (along with all of NE OHIO) dislike the coach so VERY VERY much.

I will watch the superbowl & am not crazy for/against any team. I am just so very glad to live in a country where we have the luxury of pro sports, free elections, GREAT cinema(yea, I know a lot disagree) and the opportunity to share friendship & knowledge without fear of prosecution at a site such as this.

God Bless you Tom & all the other great FReeper Patriots that go so faithfully to the Olney, WalterReed & last minute “grab your sign” FReeps along the way

Miss you all. not sure when I will next see you but it cannot be soon enough (for sure).. hey, where is my good bud “gunsareok”?

They've even got a stupid pledge that they want people to sign.

I hope they post the names of everyone who signs the pledge on their website. It will make it easier to file an IRS Form 211 for each of them and claim a reward for turning them in.

The IRS’s Form 211 Reward Program allows individuals to claim a reward after providing information about underpayments of tax to the United States government. The reward is paid from amounts collected (other than interest) from the subject taxpayer.

Your report was spot on, Tom! Code Pink and their ilk are not decent. We, who counter them know this better than anyone, and realize that it is a great motivator.

Hopefully, the moonbats will follow this strategy! Question is, where do we house all the criminals? Is there another island available...perhaps in the south seas? Atoll? Judges Alito and Roberts can hear their case that would no doubt be filed by ANSWER.

Keep up the great work! BTW, are you getting ready to counter their March 15th march in DC?
