We all know that McCain's accusation about Romney favoring a timetable for withdrawal has no basis in fact, so Mark Levin's re-covering that story isn't the most interesting part of this corner post.

Instead, it's Mark Levin's clear statement that the "Fred is dropping out" rumor came from McCain's camp, and that it seems reasonable to think the false "Fred will endorse McCain" rumor is also coming from the McCain camp.

Coming from a supposed "friend", I bet Fred is spitting nails over this.

Then again, they were friends when Fred was in the Senate...quite a while ago.
Since Fred entered the race, competing against McCain, I bet things aren't good between the two of them, despite media reports.

McCain and Huckabee have emerged as the Really Rottens in the GOP Laff-A-Lympics, lying and cheating any way they can.

Originally it was thought that the rumor that Fred would drop out and endorse McCain after Iowa was from the Romney camp. Mark sounds very credible now that he’s got the goods it all started with the McCain campaign. Hmmm.

I do hope Fred does NOT endorse McCain. Better not to endorse anyone than do that. It will not earn McCain ONE new vote but it would garner some lack of respect from many solid FredHeads, who are mostly already moving in the Romney direction at this point.

Well, the rumors that Fred would throw his support to McCain have been flying around for a long time (even long before Fred withdrew from the campaign). It only makes sense that such rumors were coming from the McCain camp, as he is the only one who would benefit from making people believe he would endorse McCain.

On another note, a rumor is making the rounds that Fred Thompson will endorse John McCain tomorrow.

I find this very hard to believe. McCain has stepped on a lot of toes in the Senate. If true, McCain has probably promised the VP spot to Thompson.

Well duh, Russert loves McCain for the same reason he loves Obama. They all agree on the issues.

McCains sudden rise was most likely dirty politics. Dirty coming from the “straight talkeR” whos has said he would never nominate an Alito for SCOTUS because Alito wears his conservatism on his sleeve.

JOHN MC CAIN DIRTBAG WELL KNOWN TURNCOAT.
