NOW - NY Slams Ted
Times Union ^ | January 28, 2008 | National Organization of Gals

Posted on 01/28/2008 4:41:00 PM PST by Bubba_Leroy

The National Organization for Women’s New York chapter issued a scathing reaction to Sen. Ted Kennedy’s endorsement of Barack Obama over Hillary Clinton. Actually, the word “scathing” feels inadequate here.

Read for yourself:

“Women have just experienced the ultimate betrayal. Senator Kennedy’s endorsement of Hillary Clinton’s opponent in the Democratic presidential primary campaign has really hit women hard. Women have forgiven Kennedy, stuck up for him, stood by him, hushed the fact that he was late in his support of Title IX, the ERA, the Family Leave and Medical Act to name a few. Women have buried their anger that his support for the compromises in No Child Left Behind and the Medicare bogus drug benefit brought us the passage of these flawed bills. We have thanked him for his ardent support of many civil rights bills, BUT women are always waiting in the wings.

“And now the greatest betrayal! We are repaid with his abandonment! He’s picked the new guy over us. He’s joined the list of progressive white men who can’t or won’t handle the prospect of a woman president who is Hillary Clinton (they will of course say they support a woman president, just not “this” one). ‘They’ are Howard Dean and Jim Dean (Yup! That’s Howard’s brother) who run DFA (that’s the group and list from the Dean campaign that we women helped start and grow). They are Alternet, Progressive Democrats of America, democrats.com, Kucinich lovers and all the other groups that take women’s money, say they’ll do feminist and women’s rights issues one of these days, and conveniently forget to mention women and children when they talk about poverty or human needs or America’s future or whatever.

“This latest move by Kennedy, is so telling about the status of and respect for women’s rights, women’s voices, women’s equality, women’s authority and our ability – indeed, our obligation - to promote and earn and deserve and elect, unabashedly, a President that is the first woman after centuries of men who ‘know what’s best for us.’”

The FemiNazis are all so hystrionic and insincere. They will support the democrats 100000% when the election comes.

Interesting they couldn't even say Barak Obama. Must be closet racists.

Funny, the militant lesbian FemiNazi's didn't give a rat's patootie at Bill Clinton's sexual abuse lawsuit or Kennedy's murdering a young girl.

The only thing funnier than listening to NOW rant like this is reading a DUFU in which a DUmbFU*k has a really bad nights sleep, forgot their meds, missed the bus to work (if they have a job that does not include the phrase “you want fries with that?”), ran out of unfiltered Marlboro reds and decides that is was all Bushs fault and proceeds to immortalize their place in the DUFU archives.

Funny, isn’t it. All this illogical racist stuff they always pull on us, they are now pulling on each other.

Isn’t it amazing that the party that says it is for equality, is always prefering someone over another simply because of their race or sex?

I didn't notice NOW getting upset over Hillary's 35 years of bimbo eruptions especially in the cases of Juanita Broderick, Jennifer Flowers, and very young Monica Lewinsky.

Also, didn't notice NOW being upset that Hillary accepted $$$ from the Thai Prostitute King who exploits teenagers [video on Doug_from_Upland thread today].

And, did I miss their protest about ripping babies from their mothers' wombs [abortion]?

Betrayal? Why exactly is the drunken murderer obligated, in NOW's view, to endorse a decidedly unlikable liberal woman candidate over a personable (and "bright" and "articlulate" and "clean") liberal male candidate? Did he sign some sort of pact with the fugly bitter hags?

Panic in Hagville, and I love it.

I only hope that Hillary and Obama fight it out all the way through to the democRat convention.

By then Hillary will be openly calling Obama an "uppity n----r" and Obama will be calling Hillary a "bull-dyke b----".

NOW is so 1970’s.

Yeah. Those white women seem to think that an African-American should not even be endorsed for the Presidency. How out of synch with the times is that?

The NAACP should not put up with this blatent racism.

Where Jesse Jackson when you need him?

NO JUSTICE, NO PEACE!!!

(Ya know, thinking like a Democrat is kinda fun.)

"It just keeps getting better and better."

It is rather fun lately watching these lefty folks chew each other up in recent days.

Unfortunately it is spoiled a bit some because there are some on the other side of the spectrum (our side) who are insisting that they will take their ball and go home when their favorite candidate does not get the nomination.

I still remember at the Clarence Thomas hearings when the NOW hags came to testify. After they had finished their rant, old Strom Thurmond thanked the “lovely ladies” for their testimony. He was just being polite. Lord knows he was just being polite because those broads were anything but lovely. Anyway, they immediately ran out and told reporters that it was a disgrace that Senators were interested in them for their looks and not their brains. As if! LOL!
