During his 1994 Senate campaign against Ted Kennedy and in his 2002 gubernatorial campaign, Romney campaigned as a pro-choice candidate. In a televised debate against Kennedy in October of 1994, Romney said he felt “abortion should be safe and legal in this country,” and he believed this because his mother took that position in her 1970 U.S. Senate campaign

I have no doubt that Romney's a fake and a flake.

Romney on Judicial Appointments

For all of Romney’s rhetoric about activist judges, his own judicial appointments also leave much to be desired. The Boston Globe reported in July of 2005 that Romney had “passed over GOP lawyers for three-quarters of the 36 judicial vacancies he has faced, instead tapping registered Democrats or independents — including two gay lawyers who have supported expanded same-sex rights.”

I don’t doubt any of this. And as a pro-lifer, Romney’s record is indeed very troubling. However, it’s come down to a two-man race between Romney and McPain, and the latter is simply unacceptable. I’ll be casting my CA primary ballot for Romney next week.

Some months ago Romney made a comment dismissive of the people who tried to save Terri Schiavo’s life. Since then I have never trusted his sincerity on pro-life issues.

Brace yourself, someone will hop on by to post fifty things Romney did right over the last eight years so people can vote for him with a clean concience, and start to idolize him just like they do someone else we know.

Romney will never see a vote from me, and that goes for the other four characters this election cycle.

Hopefully in 2012, we’ll have someone worth voting for on the right side of the isle.

Romney actually attacked Ted Kennedy for flip-flopping on abortion - Teddy used to be pro-life, and Romney pointed out his unblemished record of pro-abortion purity going back even before Roe v. Wade, to his mother's Senate campaign and his distant relative's death from an illegal abortion.

Howdy. I see Hunter was campaigning for Huckabee today. He should have kept out of the endorsement business.

Hey, I like Hunter, too, and I'd vote for him if he had a chance. My vote for Romney is little more than a vote against McPain.
