Actually, its our money. If they gave us back more of it, or used less of it, they would not have such credibility issues.
However, I agree it is an attempt to make the voters happy and keep them voting liberal GOP.

Whatever you buy, make sure it’s made in the good ole USA. If not, the money will go overseas and won’t do us a dam bit of good.

I’ve already got our $1200 (or is it $1500 since we have a kid?) allocated. Along with the rest of our 2007 refund, and some extra money we’re hopefully going to get by a re-filing of our 2006 taxes, it’ll go toward new computers for me and the wife since ours are almost six years old and falling apart, a nice dinner out, and the rest toward debt payoff.

I suggest a Hello Kitty muffler.

There is nothing that says economic stimulus more than a designer muffler.

I am going to renovate my master bathroom. The money will go back into the economy, I will be buying American-made products and hiring a local plumber, and the work will increase the value of my house. Voila! Economic stimulus!

I wanna know how giving the poorest of America bonus $$$$$ stimulates the American economy. Really, I just don’t see it.
Seems like “America” will buy “toys” with their new bonus......and “toys” are not made in America.
Seems like this will stimulate the economy of China.
But hey...I’m a biologist, not an economist.

Really you won’t be paying off any debt. It may be that you and your wife will get the 1500.00 but... your child will have to pay it off since it is allbeing borrowed anyway.
So you get it but your child will have to payit off one day. Enjoy!

Good for them. GovCo doesn’t have the money, they’ll just go out a borrow it. Does anyone know how many Americans actually pay taxes? If so it would be interesting to divide that number into the “free money” and then you’ll know how much the working stiffs are going to have to pay for this little “give away”. Gotta reward their little plantation slaves! This sucks!
