McCain topper Rick Davis quietly negotiated the agreement.

HALPERIN’S TAKE: 10 things Giuliani could have done differently.

Giuliani, in Florida concession speech, talked about his effort in the past tense, but said nothing explicit about dropping out — or The Deal.

I agree. As I said on another thread, I see little difference between McCain and Romney, so I’ll just celebrate Giuliani’s probable departure.

The big difference, IMO, is temperament. I don’t trust John McCain with nuclear weapons.

” I see little difference between McCain and Romney”

Not looking very hard, are you?

One guy ran against illegal immigration in 1994 and has vowed to come down hard on the side of enforcement. The other? Amnesty city.

One guy would flunk a high school ecnomics class with his 0% interest rates. The other, well, didn’t exacty vote against tax cuts.

I don’t trust McCain on illegal immigration amnesty. I dont trust him on taxes and the economy. I don’t trust him on nominating for SCOTUS. I don’t trust him not to take away more of our Constitutional right. I don’t trust him not to be a hothead bully.

I don’t trust him as far as I can throw him... not on anything.

This is not surprising, and many were expecting it. If McCain is President, look for Giuliani to have an important role, perhaps as Attorney General. But it’s very unlikely that we will see a McCain/Giuliani ticket, given that conservatives are uneasy with McCain as it is.

Not thrilled with McCain, but I REALLY don't like Romney.

I do believe McCain will probably beat Hitlery fairly easily.

“I agree. As I said on another thread, I see little difference between McCain and Romney,”

Egads, whats 12 million illegal immigrants getting citizenship to you? A small number?

McCain won big due to support from pro-aborts, moderates, proamnesty supporters and people angry with Bush about the war.

Question for freepers: Is that who should be running the GOP?

I’m sooooo disgusted with the GOP. It’s not only been triangulated, but fooled by the mushy-brained and uninformed. I’m sickened to think that John McCain will be the GOP nominee. Seriously, I’m thinking of moving to a third world country just to get a jump on the USA becoming one.

Fred and McCain are 180 degrees opposite each other in political ideology.

Thompson backed McCain-Feingold, and was one of only 4 in Congress to back McCain for President last time around.
