Rusheo, Rusheo, where art thou Rusheo,,, or at least, where is your fairness?

In the days leading up the Florida primary, Conservative talk show hosts were vicious, vitriolic and venomous in their distain for John McCain. Callers (selected by the show producers) were almost universally in the Romney camp. The few who were allowed to speak in favor of McCain were so bad that they easily could have been plants put on the air to impersonate a malevolent cross between Barney Fife and Denny Crain.

The gestault of their shows' messages were very simple; Romney is perfect, McCain is a horrible person.

This article is not intended to be pro-McCain, pro-Romney or pro-any specific Republican candidate. I only speak to the issue that McCain won against a firestorm of criticism from supposedly Conservative radio hosts.

Let’s all agree on a few things. Neither McCain, Romney nor Giuliani have perfect, impeccable Conservative credentials. Each of them has taken generally Conservative stances on a majority of issues, and decidedly (and unwise) moderate to liberal stances on other issues.

Each has changed their position on a number of issues during their life. Is there any of us who have not changed our position on some important public or private issue?

Let’s accept the reality that, for example, if any of us have ever been divorced, he have adopted beliefs and positions that are totally contrary to what we once believed. We all change our minds. So did these gentlemen.

Let us not be so foolish to now try to decide who is “more Conservative.” Each candidate has a number of Conservative positions…. and some we wish we could change. Trying to now decide who is “more Conservative” is like trying to deduce how many angels can dance on the head of a pin. At best, is it malevolent mental masturbation.

The important thing to remember that each of these men is superbly more Conservative that the Hildabeast or Mr. Obama… or Mayor Bloomberg.

That is the issue. Noting else counts. Having a Republican beat these two (or three) socialists is vital to our country. Nothing else matters in November…. and next January, February, March…..

It will be either McCain or Romney, and the idiocy of some people saying that they would sit out the election of their candidate does not win the Republican nomination is exactly that, a childish idiotic tantrum.

But back to the main issue: “our” “conservative” radio hosts. If you didn't hear how bad it was on Monday, consider this example. One host allowed a listener to claim that John McCain collaborated with his North Vietnamese communist captors, and then directed his listeners to the web site that makes that cowardly claim.

“Conservative” radio hosts have a job to do tomorrow. In climbing all over Sen. McCain, they emulated the tactics of the MSM perfectly. Take no pleasure in this if you are a Romney supporter. Their target could just as easily have been Governor Romney.

Conservatives radio talk show hosts must decide of they are first Americans and Conservatives, or simply another cog in the money making mainstream media morass. They must ask themselves; how low will they go to create controversy in order to get ratings?

Rush, Sean, Bud: please note. Ratings are great. Fairness is even better.

My candidate is a true conservative and thus cannot be bashed by conservative radio he was defeated by the idiot RINO’s of this country who are too involved in the winner of survivor than to research candidates. If they did vote for the candidate that they thought was the best then we are doomed within 2 generations to become a socialist regime.

Rush was right and needs to come out tomorrow and open the McCain file just like he does on Hillary.

Because he deserved it. As imperfect as Romney and Guilani were, neither had the enthusiasm for tinkling on the conservative base and getting good enemedia press to the extent McVain did. The only way I'll vote for McCain is if he has one foot in the grave, the other on a banana peel and a solid conservative as VP.

Rush and Sean do not have any "slainin" to do. They do not pretend to form the public's opinion. They say all the time that they give their own opinion on the show. Rush specifically says this, he make it clear his show is about giving his opinion.

"Rush, Sean, Bud: please note. Ratings are great. Fairness is even better."

The show are not about "Fairness", it is about the opinions of the hosts, they are political commentators.

Putting McCain and Romney on the same page is just ridiculous. The way the votes split reveals as much over and over again, as well.

Romney wins conservatives. McCain moderates and liberals.

I see no reason whatsoever not to trash McCain. If he survives, he’ll come out the stronger and battle-tested in the general. As for now, I want him destroyed, and I’m pretty unrepentent about that.

My nation’s sovereignty and our economy are better off not left up to a doofus like McCain.

I don’t know who is voting McCain. Maybe Goldwater/Reagan is yesterday’s news. Be it Johnny Mac or Mitt, there are two things to remember to bring to the polls in November.

1. Supreme Court justices - up to five will retire.
2. War on Islamic Jihad.

Republicans - We will fight to win; Liberals fight to whine.

I did hear the comment by the talk show-host about Senator McCain. It was over the top and disgusting.

I do believe that folks like Rush, Levin, etc. have a fundamental difference of opinion with McCain on the direction of the Republican party. That’s not unreasonable given how Senator McCain has conducted himself in the Senate.
