Europeans Think Islam Is Dangerous
Daily Express ^ | January 27,2008 | Jason Groves

AN “overwhelming majority” of Europeans believe immigration from Islamic countries is a threat to their traditional way of life, a survey revealed...The poll, carried out across 21 countries, found “widespread anti-immigration sentiment”, but warned Europe’s Muslim population will treble in the next 17 years. It reported “a severe deficit of trust is found between the Western and Muslim communities”, with most people wanting less interaction with the Muslim world. Last night an MP warned it showed that political leaders in Britain who preach the benefits of unlimited immigration were dangerously out of touch with the public. The study, whose authors include the former Archbishop of Canterbury Lord Carey, was commissioned for leaders at the World Economic Forum meeting in Davos, Switzerland.

It reports “a growing fear among Europeans of a perceived Islamic threat to their cultural identities, driven in part by immigration from predominantly Muslim nations”. And it concludes: “An overwhelming majority of the surveyed populations in Europe believe greater interaction between Islam and the West is a threat.” Backbench Tory MP David Davies told the Sunday Express: “I am not surprised by these findings. People are fed up with multiculturalism and being told they have to give up their way of life....

Mr Davies, who serves on the Commons Home Affairs Committee, added: “People do get annoyed when they see millions spent on translating documents and legal aid being given to people fighting for the right to wear a head-to-toe covering at school....“A lot of people are very uncomfortable with the changes being caused by immigration and politicians have been too slow to wake up to that.”

The report says people have little enthusiasm for greater understanding with Islam and attempts to improve relations have been “disappointing”. And with the EU Muslim population expected to reach 15 per cent by 2025 it predicts: “Any deterioration on the international front will be felt most severely in Europe.”

But leading Muslim academic Haleh Afshar, of York University, blamed media “hysteria” for the findings. She said: “There is an absence of trust towards Muslims, but to my mind that is very much driven by an uninformed media....

So the Europeans have figured this out, but their overlords have not. Enoch Powell was right and continues to be right. I especially liked the fact that Europeans have "little enthusiasm for greater understanding with Islam.." Well, duh. After 9/11, the Madrid bombings, the "youths" burning the Paris suburbs, the Dutch goings-on, the Denmark cartoon overreaction and the attempted bombings in the UK, Europeans already know everything the need to know about Islam.

That’s nice. But do they have the guts to do anything about it? It seems as if the only European politicians who say they want to deal with the problem are extremists and kooks. The major parties are all stuck on stupid.

Most Americans think that open borders with Mexico is dangerous too. Good luck getting the power elite who profit from the cheap labor and guaranteed commielib votes to ever do anything about it.

Our “leaders” seem to think that no input from the common people is of any useful purpose from which to form or modify policies.

“Last night an MP warned it showed that political leaders in Britain who preach the benefits of unlimited immigration were dangerously out of touch with the public.”

Sounds like they are dangerously out of touch with reality. The public understands; the talking heads and politicos are clueless.

“An overwhelming majority of the surveyed populations in Europe believe greater interaction between Islam and the West is a threat.”

Maybe because significant interaction in recent memory has been hazardous to the health of many thousands? Again, the public has it right. Just read the Muzzie playbook, the quran. It’ll tell you everything you need to know about this barbaric cult of Islam.

Lock and Load.

Too bad. Too little. Too late. By the time the Europeans awaken from their delusions (if they ever do) they will be in deep dhimmitude (if they're lucky).

To make a chiasmus of Charles Krauthammer's sage observation (note tagline):

History is not just witty. It is cruel.

And to quote another sage observer:

"We can evade reality, but we can not evade the consequences of evading reality."
~Ayn Rand~

The Europeans, in their determination to prevent the horrors of the past, have doomed themselves to repeat the very horrors they fear most.

It's Oedipus Rex all over again.

What a cruel joke that European civilization should begin and end with hubris, denial, and tragedy.

Yes, but this time, unfortunately, I’d put my money on the islamis. The last Euros w/ balls died at Verdun, the Somme & Stalingrad.

Maybe if they turn the dirty work over to the Poles; they won’t take any cr@p from the islams.

What is the U.S. doing about THIER problem. We have Mexicans overrunning us, and we have “tolerance” for Muslim activity. So much tolerance that we may be on the verge of electing one to run the country. We have enough on our plate without talking about Europe.

I disagree. I think the socialist-secularist governments will go all out to protect Islam and squash any popular or nationalist uprising by the citizenry. Whatever nads Europeans had are long gone.

Europeans will beat their breasts, wring their hands, and ultimately do nothing. Demographics will slowly allow their nations to be consumed in the next fifty years. Muslims are already attaining political positions - in Denmark, they have open supporters of the jihadis who have sent threatening e-mails to their own constituents and who have been allowed to stay in office even after it was exposed. That shows me nothing will be done by the native population.

Europe will die the death of a thousand cuts, and it will be with a whimper. One day, Muslims will simply be in the majority and start ethnically cleansing the native population of the various countries. They will tear down all churches or convert them into mosques. They will create oppressive laws that slowly force the native population to convert to Islam to avoid the oppression and harassment of the majority Muslim population (as they have done in every other nation that Muslims have taken over).

Europe is done. It's already over. The native population, as the Borg say, "will be assimilated". Resistance is futile. Europe is just twenty-five to fifty years away from stepping off into a thousand years of darkness.

Eureka! Euroweenes discovered America the second time, or was it the second? They have a record of embracing tyrants and mass murderers (Hitler, Stalin etc) waking up when it is too late, then looking to US for rescue.

Europeans were always bunch of arrogant, ignorant, plain stupid cowards, they love to teach us lessons since they always had, have and will have inferiority complex to US of America.

A problem with Islam is that it is a one-way street. If we could go to their countries unimpeded, build churches, proselytize, wear our crosses, and calmly without threat of death explain the falsity of Islam to their people, then things would be equal. We could probably end Islam in a generation or two, because it cannot stand up to the light of truth. In such an environment, having their people here would not so dangerous.

But we don't have that environment, and until the Muzzies let us do what they do, we should tell them that we cannot allow them in our countries with their seditious barbaric political screed called the Koran.

If the last century proved anything, it is that the opposite is true. All of this bottled up anger has to go somewhere. It may take a few years, but the continent will be at war again (civil or otherwise).

Exactly! I will say that I live in the Middle East and I see things are changing slowly. Education seems to be the big thing now and they are going at it with zeal.

I recently learned that in the Middle East, the strict Muslim codes were on the way out until the late 70’s when the Islamic revolution in Iran and a Saudi Wahabbi revival changed everything. Now we have radicals up to our eyeballs ready to do violence over any infraction, real or perceived.

The folks here can be nice at times, but I sure would not recommend falling under thier rule.
