Fred Phelps Goes Down Under
Townhall ^ | Wednesday, January 30, 2008 | By Mike S. Adams

Posted on 01/30/2008 11:09:19 AM PST by HuntsvilleTxVeteran

Fred Phelps, the pastor and head lunatic of Westboro
Baptist Church (WBC) of Topeka, Kansas (call 785-273-0325
or visit godhatesfags.com) has written an open letter
to the family of Heath Ledger.
In the short letter is a demand that the Ledger family
divulge the time, date, and place of the late actor’s
burial in Perth, Australia,
so WBC can go - in respectful proximity - and conduct a
“religious service.”

Fred Phelps has already caused untold suffering and pain
to the families of dead American soldiers by
protesting their funerals with signs proclaiming
that “God Hates America” because “Gad Hates Fags”
and America tolerates them.
He even proclaims on his website that Americans should celebrate
Improvised Explosive Devices as a gift from a God
who is punishing the soldiers by blowing them up –
again, for America’s crime of tolerating homosexuality.

This image provided by Focus Features shows actor Heath
Ledger portraying the character Ennis Del Mar
in the movie "Brokeback Mountain."
Ledger, the talented 28-year-old actor who gravitated
toward dark, brooding roles that defied his leading-man
looks, was found dead Tuesday in a Manhattan apartment.
Phelps says that Heath Ledger would want the Westboro Ledger
clan (or perhaps, Klan) to appear at his funeral

He should have stuck to harassing Hollywood actors funerals in the first place. Then I wouldn’t have such a problem with him.

From suing people who try to intervene in his activities. It’s a simple money-making system: provoke somebody into punching you, or provoke a local government into “violating your First Amendment rights” by arresting you, sue, collect lots of cash, use this cash to finance a whole bunch more provocations.

I have a problem with ANYONE harassing ANY funeral ...

Regardless whether they’re right substantively (which they regularly are NOT), picketting a funeral is classless and obnoxious.

He does more harm to the causes of Christianity and conservatism than any American leftist or liberal could ever do.

Does anyone here not believe that Rev Fred is a closet pillow-biter?

It's because he is a liberal anti-God provocateur. He is a deep mole designed to hurt Christianity. Plus, he's a homosexual.

Nope, God hates all the candidates.

And, sadly, according to Phelps, I am not kidding.

He has a loooong list of who God hates, and it includes everyone but members of his “church” (most of whom are in his family).

Maybe We can refuse reentry.

That would be so great. I would even contribute a ticket for them to go and STAY in North Korea.

I would. What right do these sleezebags have to protest any funeral. Is nothing sacred to you?

When I saw “Fred Phelps goes down” at first I thought maybe he had joined the other team.

“Does anyone know where this whackjob gets his money? Is it all from the nuts that attend his ‘church’?”

I guess someone withing that inbred congregation...err...family of his has some money that’s been paying for all this classless junk.

Doesn’t the bible say that He hates sin, but not sinners?

Am I wrong, or do their very signs contradict His word?

apparently Fred doesn’t know that the first amendment stops at the border. Hopefully Australia would lock them all up permanently.

Methinks he joined the other team a long time ago. He just never changed jerseys.

Such a disgusting and vile human being. I’m no expert, but to me he’s no Christian and he is not doing God’s work. The more I hear of him and the bs he and his “family” do, the more hatred and darkness I feel in my heart for them all.

When Phelps protested at Water Reed on that Saturday, he had 12 protesters and 8 attorneys watching. Honest.

This man is certifiably insane (I’ve read his sons’ biographies).

The best thing that could happen would be for the media would just stop giving him any attention. But we all know that the chances of that happening are nil.
