They threatened to do so...but after checking (at least back then) with the statutes and the prominant display of my sign with that terminology, they found they would have no case.

What are they thinking about? She has every right to refuse to supply her services. This is ridiculous.
So, does your friend think that everyone should be required by law, perhaps on pain of loss of livelihood, to do what Jesus would do?

A few years ago, I had an opportunity to do business with a group that I didn’t want to have anything to do with.
I made the decision that if I was going to take their business, they were going to pay dearly for it. I quadripled my price to them. They took their business elsewhere.
I refuse to do work for liberals or democrats and tell them why to their face.
Your right, it would have been easier. But easier is what got us here. We have to stand up and raise issues otherwise they run right over you.
