Qwest is my phone company. It is depressing to see that they don't have the balance sheet to upgrade infrastructure to fiber. Even my former phone company in San Diego, PacBell, made a false start at fiber to the doorstep. After tearing up my street to lay the connections, PacBell was purchased by SBC. All the boxes with the electronics were removed. All that remained was the scarred streets and yards.

Pocatello now has two WiMax towers installed. I'm waiting to see how that works out before ditching my DSL for WiMax.
