"When you consider McCain..."

I can't say what I will do when I reach the booth on November yet, but I can tell you that right now, I am absolutely NOT considering Juan McAtzlan for anything, period.

Thanks for the ping, TSchmereL!

I just found out Thomas Sowell has a new book out, titled "Economic Facts and Fallacies". Christmas in February!

If McCain doesn’t accomplish anything else, we’re at least going to see some serious cracks in the foundation of that Good Old Boys Club that the Senate has become.

Now, all the rest of us have to do is get rid of people like our Senior Stiff from Montana. (Provided the laws they’ve passed to insulate themselves from petty little considerations like citizens and ballots can be overcome and they haven’t already bought whatever elections we have left.)

Back to WnL mode.

Even if you already voted (or not) here is something you can still do right from your own home to help out.

This just in from the Romney Campaign:

Dear {....]

With the Florida primary behind us, it’s clear we are down to a two-man race between Governor Mitt Romney and Senator McCain, and the groundswell of support for our campaign has been astounding.

Our headquarters has been flooded with calls and emails from new supporters who offer to do anything they can to help Mitt secure the Republican nomination, beat the Democrats in November, and become our next president.

Many of them ask, “What can I do?” Well, I’m here to tell you that the next 5 days will be a flurry of activity at Romney HQ here in Boston and around the country. And we need your help to call voters in the February 5th, Super Tuesday states.

The calls you make that connect you to voters could put Mitt over the top, they could mean the difference in determining our next president. Please join us during all or some of the following times by emailing “I want to win” to CallatHome@MittRomney.com.

Saturday, 1-10pm EST
Sunday, 1-8pm EST
Monday, Noon-11pm EST

We are calling so late because we will be calling states in other time zones. We will not call Eastern states after 8pm at night.

We’ve had groups signing up on our website and offering to help from San Diego, California, to Dallas, Texas, to Southern New Jersey, and tagging themselves as everything from Mensans to FredHeads to Grocery Store Owners to Cosmetologists for Mitt. Thousands of new contributors have flooded to the web to pledge their support in the form of a financial contribution.

All of this demonstrates the widespread support for Governor Romney and shows he’s the candidate who can unite the Republican Party and our nation.

Please join us be emailing “I want to win” to CallatHome@MittRomney.com.

Thanks,
The Romney for President Team

P.S. If you are unable to make calls but want to support the Call at Home program, please consider making a contribution of $250, $100, $50, $25, or any amount you can afford to go directly to buying more Call at Home minutes. Or even if you plan to make calls, you may make a contribution to keep this program going.

bttt

This is what I just sent out to my email lists this morning:

Please help in every way you can - including passing this on as far and wide as possible.

Regardless of who your candidate is, a vote FOR Romney will be vote AGAINST McCain. A vote for anyone else will be a vote FOR McCain.

End of story. If you’re going to throw your vote away - you may as well stay home.

This is our last chance. It will only take a small percentage (4-5%) shift of the conservative vote toward Romney to STOP MCCAIN!

What You Can Do from home: http://view.victory.mittromney.com/?j=fe841d747c600d7b77&m=fef410757c6001&ls=fdf615777c65027870157073

In Florida, a huge percentage of independents (who aren’t allowed to vote in the primary), never-the-less cast votes for McCain on what are called “provisional ballots”, by merely saying that they were switching to the Republican Party. This is how the left has been effectively preventing us from choosing who our own candidate is going to be in every single state so far. The people who are voting Tuesday have had absolutely NO SAY yet at all in picking “the front runner”.

Coalesce around Romney - Conservatives need to act now, before it is too late.

Read Mark Levin’s commentary http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=NDEzMDYzZjBkMDNhYjk0ZjdhZmJlZWNkMWQ1NjI4MGI = (copied and pasted below this):

Romney’s new strategy is here: Click this link and see the chart showing what all of us already know to be true. You see exactly who is causing the split in the conservative vote. He has NEVER had ANY chance of being our nominee - but he (including the “independent” vote) IS THE REASON WHY McCain is on track to be the GOP nominee: http://www.mittromney.com/News/Press-Releases/Gage_Memo_1.31 ~ Janice

“In Florida, a state where McCain spent nearly $2 million on paid media in the final two weeks; had the endorsement of the state’s sitting Republican governor, the Republican senator, and five GOP congressmen; and benefited from an electorate where one in three voters was over the age of 65, he failed to come within 8 points of Gov. Romney among conservative voters.

In fact, according to exit poll data, if Gov. Romney had won conservatives in Florida 41%-25% over McCain, rather than 37%-29% - just a four-point shift - he would have won the state. Former Giuliani and Thompson supporters in February 5th states will be looking for a new candidate over the next week, and it will not take very many conservatives moving to Romney to disrupt McCain’s victory formula.

The McCain formula for success worked in a divided field when conservatives were fractured, but even a small coalescence of conservatives around Gov. Romney would reveal his support as a coalition too small to win the nomination of the Republican party.

Conservatives, self-identified Republicans, and voters who approve of President Bush are likely to be majorities of the electorate in all of the February 5th states.

It is therefore easy to see how we defeat McCain in a two-main race by focusing on traditional Republican primary voters.

We still have an uphill battle in front of us - the mainstream media is ready to anoint John McCain and he will have advantages in many states from running for president for the past eight years - but Gov. Romney has a clear path to victory on February 5th and beyond.
