This message was placed on my youtube memorial of the disaster of July 29,1967 by (openyoureyesin2008) I click on the url (openyoureyesin2008) and found that this man just joined youtube this morning and went straight to this memorial and placed your comment against Sen. John McCain and also did not view any other videos. If you click on this video, you can also read the answer I gave this person. I submit is this an attempt to smear or discredit the wonderful service that John McCain served in North Vietnam by a 27 year old who has now clue what John McCain has gown through. Please click and check out this for yourselves. Revski - RVAH-11 out of Sanford Fl. and the USS Forrestal CVA 59 in July 29,1967.
I knew he was a foot soldier in Reagan’s army but now you say he was also a pilot?
Wow!
As much as I'm against his candidacy, I fail to see how he's a bad guy in that disaster.
And they do so by insinuating that he was responsible for the Forrestal accident? One still studied today in Navy training.
Sounds like a pretty bad plan to me.

Post or FReepmail me if you wish to be enlisted in or discharged from the Navair Pinglist.
This is a medium to low volume pinglist.
There are plenty of factual elements of McCain’s life that indicate why he isn’t fit to be Republican nominee for President. This is not one of them.
McCain was my Commanding Officer in my training squadron at Cecil Field, and when I went to the fleet, I went to...VA-46, the squadron he was in when that Zuni hit his Skyhawk...:)
I respect his service, but will never vote for him in a primary. General election, yes, if he is the only candidate against any Democrat.
Almost worked for Kerry - He served in Vietnam as well, doncha know?
The one ticket that would amuse me to no end would be McCain/Kerry
A more valid question: Is John McCain a conservative?
Being in the wrong place at the wrong time when a Zuni missile came skipping across the deck...
Therefore he doesn't even have to pretend to support any conservative ideas or ideals.
Congratulations. You've become just as irrelevant and dependable to him as the black vote was to democrats for decades.
No.
I served under a liberal jackass in the Seventies, and don’t want to see it happen to any of our current servicemen or women.
No matter how bad McCain is, his won’t be as bad as Obama or Hillary. If you think that statement is wrong, then you aren’t thinking.
Let me see...are you one of the people who think it would be a good idea to see the country/economy/military go down in disasterous flames, because you somehow think that only then, will “true conservatism” be able to rise from the ashes?
Are you one of those people who would actually pull the lever for Hillary, because you think it would accelerate the process? The more destruction, the better?
Come on. Don’t be shy now, I do want to hear it.
Somehow I can’t imagine a huge disaster happening on a ship that McCain was on without Mr. Center-of-attention being one of the material elements in the disaster.
This guy was a big star in the New York Times even before he was a POW.
I believe I served under the same jackass and I sure don't want our military to got through that again.
I will never vote for any candidate that will contribute to the destruction of the United States.
You will, if they are destroying it more slowly than the opponent.
If you vote for an ass, any ass, you get an ass. Further, “everyone” (our betters) will know with absolute certainty that they can depend on you to pull their lever as long as they push it right up to the edge where they are only slightly less crazy, slightly less evil, will settle for slightly less control over the minutia of your life, allow a few less illegal aliens into the country, suspend just a few fewer civil rights, give just a little less foreign aid to terrorist supporting states, negotiate away just a few fewer American jobs, create just a few fewer entitlements.
After all, you wouldn’t have voted for them if you actually, like, you know, wanted freedom.
You told them, with the most precious thing you have, your vote, that they can take as much from you as they’d like, and you approve!
Sixties JFK and LBJ
Absofreakingloutly! We need to back off his military service. We will be on O'reilly next as a bunch of loons if we don't. He isn' a Republican is the problem, not his military service. If we have to look at his military record for reasons not to have him as our nominee, then we just aren't looking.
Hear, hear. There is no reason to denigrate his service. But there is overwhelming evidence in the past 8 years that he is not deserving of being the republican party's candidate for president.
The footage of this is heart-stopping.
He’s not.
I didn’t intimate that he was.
Don't vote for a jackass.
Amazing how everytime a bill in support of Vietnam comes up in the Senate...they can count on Johnny.
This election is really scaring me.

He is still working for the communists !
we will have a choice of a Muslim, a Marxist or a communist traitor. As it stands now,
I'm not scared.
Terrified is more the word I'd use...
Good advice! :-))
we will have a choice of a Muslim, a Marxist or a communist traitor.
And still, there are people on this very forum who will vote for a communist traitor, and tell us it's a wise choice!
Come L-rd Yah'shua !Amen !
ping list please

So f.....g what? McCain is a liberal disaster. John Murtha served in Viet Nam and he's a xao lam a$$hole too.
Nor I!
He did well to survive, so many didn’t. He also survived a shoot down and a ‘vacation’ at the Hanoi Hilton. My hat’s off to him for all of that. He’s one tough dude.
That was hard to tell from your original comment.
I agree 100%.
Ditto.
This is lame. I'm not a McNutt supporter, but this avenue of attack on him is lame.
I do not have an issue with his service to his country in the military, I honor and respect his service, as I did his father’s and grandfather’s service.
When I served under him, I think he was still feeling the effects of his captivity, and was there more as a “Thank You” from the US Navy. I saw him one time bent over a scuttlebutt, his finger mashing down the button, just watching the water come out. He stayed that way nearly the entire walk down the hall. I don’t know why, perhaps he was zoned out, perhaps he was waiting for the chilled water to begin coming out.
My issue with him as a candidate, and the reason I would not vote for him in the primary has much more to do with his authorship of McCain-Feingold, as well as other issues.
Are you sure you have the right poster?
Below is my original comment.
Where do you see anything indicating I think he is responsible for the rocket hitting his aircraft?
"I knew he was a foot soldier in Reagans army but now you say he was also a pilot? Wow!"

Mark
There were two Moderates and a Liberal in the Whitehouse in the seventies. All three of us served under the same jackass.
The problem is that it would require that you not vote in most elections.
Thank you.

I do have an affinity and an appreciation for “like, you know, freedom”, but you seem to be of the opinion that perhaps voting for a third party, a write in, a convention draft or anything else like that is going to do anything other than hand the election to a socialist who is going to cause more damage in less time than an unpalatable Republican.
From that I can only conclude that you think the more damage that happens faster, the better it is for the country in the long run. Am I misinterpreting your stance on this issue?
