China and other countries, including the US, has had instances of cannibalism. The History Channel did a show on this.

The red flag on the this story is the location called “Region X.” Is this a mythical place? Without a specific location, how can the story be verified?

There are tons of westerners living in China. Shanghai alone has about 2 million on any given day. There are millions more spread throughout China. Many of them speak and read Chinese. Someone would have noticed.

This just doesn’t pass the smell test. Give me a specific location with independent witnesses and I will reconsider. I would even go there myself on one of my trips to China to check it out first hand.

Stem cells.

Same as what so many researchers want to do here.

The bright side is that Christ is slowing winning in China. There are probably more Christians in China than in the US.

Prosecute Bill Clinton and Bernie Schwartz for treason (now that they've enabled China to develop working ICBM's.)

NO cheers, unfortunately.

“Have not the recent influences of Western morals of secular humanism, materialism, hedonism, and ultimately unmitigated egoism, also contributed to this Chinese terrorism of the womb?”

I do not believe this can be placed at our door. The oriental has always valued life by a medium of exchange that is beyond the comprehension of the Judeo-Christian. In this regard we are a little ethno-centric. Judeo-Christian beliefs are really outside of the mainstream of humanity: brutality is not an aberation; it is the norm, and nearly every place else in the world life has a price that can be measured in gold, or it has no value at all. This is why we value the glimpse of wisdom God has given us, and the nation and means to protect it. This is why our beliefs are deservedly cherished and why there is an America. That is the difference.

The starving North Koreans are digging up the newly buried and selling the parts in open air markets so it’s not outside the realm of possibility.

I’m inclined to believe that most people wouldn’t want to cannibalize human babies. However, given the sheer number of state mandated abortions in China coupled with what is perceived as (correct me if I’m wrong) their propensity to eat anything. What happens to tens of millions of infant corpses?

So true. China is changing. Christianity is booming there, as it is throughout much of the so-called “Global South.” As Christianity dies in the U.S. and is all but dead in Europe, it is growing by leaps and bounds in other parts of the globe. It makes me deeply sad that so many Americans have turned their backs on Christ, but there are many, many people around the world who are experiencing God in new, deep and profound ways and they will be blessed.

ThanksJACKRUSSELL “New macabre manifestations of this conscienceless abortion mentality include the recent opening of five restaurants in the region of X, which began serving ‘fetal soup’ at the price of 300 Yuan (approximately $40) a bowl! Recent medical publications have praised the exceptional health benefits for the consuming of ‘fetal remains’ (this jargon allows them to overlook what this really is-unborn baby bodies). Therefore, local entrepreneurs jumped on the opportunity to distribute this new health breakthrough to the chosen few who could afford the price. So evil and scandalous is this fetal soup trade that the Government shut down the Web sites advertising the restaurants, in fear that they would scandalize the reputation of the People’s Republic to outside countries and businesses.

North Koreans are literally starving to death, and I wouldn’t be surprised if many Chinese are in similar circumstances in parts of the vast country. Don’t believe this, however it wouldn’t at all surprise me if it were true either.

The people of Stlaingrad faced mass starvation in the seige inflicted by the nazis and resorted to cannibalism.

I read about a journalist that witnessed thugs hacking the arms off a teenage girl in Africa, and cooked her arms over a fire and ate them in front of her while she died nearby.

It’s out there. (In more ways than one!)

Is there any evidence to support this? Simply saying it’s happening isn’t evidence.

Where are the deliveries of fetuses to restaurants? How does this happen?

The Chinese eat gross stuff, but I’m not buying this one without a lot more evidence than offered here.

Dream on. Evil exist aplenty outside of the West, so blaming on our own homegrown freaks just serves to diminish the fact that there are plenty of non-Western barbarians.

There are also positive forces at work in China:

CHINESE GOVERNMENT RETHINKS RELIGION

[The number of religious believers in China has long been difficult to determine. Faced with the party’s traditional hostility, many believers have kept their faith hidden. But a government-sponsored survey last year found the number may reach 300 million, nearly a quarter of the population.]

[Most of those professing belief said they identified with China’s traditional religions, such as Buddhism, Taoism and Islam. But those identifying themselves as Christians accounted for as many as 40 million, the survey found, most of them Protestants. Specialists have estimated the number of Catholics at 12 million, divided between those in Liu’s government-sponsored Patriotic Catholic Association and those in informal churches who look on the pope as their leader.]

[”Religion has become such an important concept in China that the party can no longer try to understand it in the traditional Marxist framework,” said Chan Kim-kwong, executive secretary of the Hong Kong Christian Council.]
