If Romney wasn’t born a Mormon, this race would have been over months ago.

If Romney had held positions throughout his political life more like other Republican Mormons, maybe you wouldn't be making excuses for him now.

Huckabee may find himself as loved and respected within the conservative movement as is Ross Perot.

Dole in 96, and now McCain in 08.

This is getting dangerous.

Bill Clinton is picking out interns as we speak. Hillary’s enemy list is off to the IRS, January 09. She’s picking out a new PC to hold a new set of FBI files, and a new swiss bank account for the bribes.

Romney, hang in there, please dont quit, push it all the way to the convention, regardless of delegate counts.

With some luck, the men in the white coats may have to pull McCain off the stage and get him to the nursing home. BEFORE HE HANDS THE PRESIDENCY BACK TO BILL CLINTON

Be a conservative hero and win. Huckabee’s a lot more conservative than either Romney or McCain.

If Huckabee just stays as Conservative as he’s now talking and the people (DUNCAN HUNTER) surrounding him, then win or lose politically he WILL be a hero.

The only chance of preventing McCain from getting an actual majority of delegates is if Romney and Huck pick beat him in states where they are strong.

Thank you for a well thought out and sensible post. I wish the Romney supporters would realize that desperate condescension does NOT help their case. It reminds me of when Jimmy Carter tried to persuade John Anderson to drop out in '80.

at least Rudy is honest about his liberal positions. Romney doesn’t deserve to kiss his shoes

I love the idea of the Fair Tax (national Sales Tax) over the IRS and the income tax, but McCain will not make that anycloser to reality. He will push it much farther away than a true and successful business man (Mitt Romney) would.

The Fair Tax or having the states collect and send to the feds as in the constitution, will eventually be a reality - or we will become a true socialist/communist state - but, for now, we need to defeat McCain.

Governor, you are a nice guy with deep pockets. But as you can see in Florida, money can’t erase your flip flopping past.

We prefer our nominee to be consistent and never to have wavered. Because you have only recently seen the light, you are not worthy of our support. Instead, we will stick with candidates like McCain or Huckabee, who are, and have always been, committed liberals.

Anyone that is not a conservative should step down.

Oops, that’s all of them

“arrogant, bunker-type mentality.”

Did you support the President on his multiple attempts at an amnesty proposal?

I saw a bit of the “arrogant, bunker-type mentality” then.

Florida exit polls showed that most Huckabee voters' second choice was McCain.

Right on! I give some credit to Romney for trying to be a conservative, but he’s not electable, nobody likes him. He comes across as plastic and out of touch. He should drop out and endorse Huckabee if he believes McCain must be stopped.

Huckabee is a vote getter, Romney is a nice guy but voters are consistently rejecting him.

Maybe, maybe not. If he drops out and endorses Romney, I will agree with you. If he stays in, McCain gets the nod and he is offered and accepts some position with McCain, well, you will be proven wrong.

Mark my words.
