Hundreds of large flags and 3,000 supporters of the troops, some traveling hundreds of miles, including the ever faithful Patriot Guard, turned the planned protest into a pro ralley for the troops and the country.
The church group never showed up nor returned calls inquiring why. One pro-troops rally participant remarked, as to why they didn't show up: "I think they're cowards."
There were plenty of news stories a few days ago covering the church group and their planned protest, (and a link on FR; http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1962245/posts?page=37#37 and the code pinkos that chained themselves to the Marine Office in Berkly got wide coverage.
I cannot find ONE story, other than this TV video link my daughter sent me (she and hubby, flight instructor, are stationed at Corpus) - Why no coverage? Because it was only the good guys? It was only pro-American, pro-troops people? A handful of pinkos make every news outlet. 3,000 pro-American, pro-troops are ignored???
They only report stories that fit the narrative they want to propagate.

I'm glad it got on earlier. Interesting that this station says around "1,000 people" and the other one, "3,000" ?
It seems KRIS TV was more pro on the story.
That's the sad truth of it. The media isn't interested in the good guys.
To get MORE publicity (free of charge), all the WBC idiots need do is put out the word that they're going to show up somewhere. When they hear that the Patriot Guard Riders plan to be at the same venue, the WBC backs off. The Phelps gang is a pathetic group of evil cowards who cannot stand against truth and goodness in the light of day.
WBC and the Media are peas in the same troop-hating pod.
I told him I just wanted to give them a piece of my mind, and he told me he was afraid I would have given a couple of them more than that.

Those people epitomize “brainwashed cult”, from what I saw and heard in a televison interview with the Phelps’. It’s as if a wall is erected around their minds to keep out reality, and it shows in their eyes. Scary.
